Wards,

Are you still planning on posting the 4 door instructions for accessories? They would be very useful.

Thanks!

Yes, I've got them all in PDF on my computer. I just need to find time to upload them into individual threads, like the two door stuff. BIG house party today for my wife's birthday, so kinda busy. If there is one or two your looking for let me know and I'll email them to you as attachments.

No rush.

Just wanted to make sure they were still on the "to do" list.

Thanks!

Almost forgot...

Finally got around to adding an avatar.
What do you think?

I was going to comment on that one - I like it.

Thanks!

When you have the time, could you post the instructions for the EX V6 4 door splash guards?

Again, no rush. It's gonna be at least 2-3 weeks before I get around to ordering and installing them.

Thanks!

I can email the instructions. I don't know how to put them on here. Let me know if you still need them

Thanks for the offer princess.
Actually, my normal source for instructions is CollegHills Honda (http://www.collegehillshonda.com/parts/extension/accord/03accord.htm) .

Here is what they have for the splash guards:

Splash Guards Instructions (http://www.collegehillshonda.com/instructions/03accord/splashguards.pdf)

They are dated Aug. 2002, so I was just wondering if a newer version is out.

Thanks!

looks exactly the same. I doubt if there's too many ways to put these on, so there's no updated versions. We always put splash guards on our Hondas, they save the paint big time! We carefully used touch up paint, thinned & air sprayed our guards for the '02 Accord. Looked great! This time with the dark blue we opted not to bother. (The '02 was silver)

We're concidering changing the rims to chrome, Honda ones. Keeping the tires. Chrome looks nice with dark colors. I'm not fond of the Michellins, they wear out fast due to being soft. They do hang on pretty good though. We went to NV a couple of weeks ago & cruised down the Sierras a bit faster than recommended & actually used the edges. That's what they're for, but it was a first (in a long time) for us. I bet we end up having to buy tires before we're done with this Accord!

Let me know if you have a hard time finding something, I'll try to help.

Thanks princess.

Looks to be a relatively easy install.
Only question I have is about the hook they show on the instructions. I'm sure it will make sense once I get started, but it's hard to tell from the instructions what exactly that hooks into.

I didn't notice a hook. Are you talking about the spring nuts/washers? I do remember needing to make sure the wheel was turned to be out of the way.

I'm sure you can handle it. Have you purchased them already? When we bought my car the finance dept. messed with the numbers & tried to charge me for the installation for the fog lights & wing. I had a lengthy discussion about only getting the parts. I made them rewrite the contract!! They just weren't used to someone NOT wanting them to do the installation. They're easily confused!

I got up most of the 4 door instructions late last night. More to come.

From the instructions (step 3):

"... Attach the hook on the splash guard to the edge of the left side sill trim".

I guess it's just how they fit on the trim.
I haven't ordered them yet...waiting to see if Tim will run a special!

It looks like just a guide to line it up right. Pretty much everything on the car has dimples, divets, holes, something to line up parts to make installations easier.

Yeah, that's what i figured.
Should be a very easy job. Plan on doing it w/ the exhaust finishers. Gotta make that dual exhaust stand out!

I kept the tips off of the '02. They are straight & I think the '03 are supposed to have a slight tilt to them. They look good! For some odd reason we didn't put them on the Pilot & discussed it this weekend during both girls bath time. He'll get them now. We agreed that they'd look good with the other chrome accents we have on the Pilot. I just love all the extra touches we all add. So far I haven't seen a blue V6 sedan with tint, spoiler wing, & tips. They'll have some but not all, or they'll add after market rims..... never "just like" ours. Same with the Pilot. The few we've seen with chrome, don't have the bumper garish. Each vehicle takes on it's own personality. It's kewl! :)

Bean,

I've put splash guards on my Odyssey and my Accord. It's relatively easy. Remember to wash and wax well in those areas first.

Tim put a kit on special that had splash guards, trunk tray, and all-weather floor mats.

Fish,

Your nick always cracks me up! Remember, fishing should be a relaxing hobby! :joker:

Thanks for the info on the splash guards.
I did see that special Tim is offering, but I was able to get my dealer to throw in the trunk tray, so I don't need it. I will wait to see what he offers for the guards and the exhaust finishers.
