It may only be one pic, but hey, I'll take it!
It features an Ecological Drive Assist System...it should be interesting.
Accordlover 12-03-2008, 01:40 PM Oh how this is going to make my godmother cringe!
She wanted this car but couldn't get it when she bought the 2009 Fit. I bet it would be easy for her to trade in for an Insight, since the Fit holds its value so well.
I'm excited.
Bowzer 12-03-2008, 02:11 PM Now how am I supposed to be talking myself into getting a vehicle right now with this several months away? Would like to know what kind of equipment and size this is coming out as...

www.hondacars.com has a pretty clear indication of what the insight will be all about. Look at the future models section.
Think fit sized interior space (2009 fit!), and a little more cargo room in the back hatch.
PS - I sat in the back of a new Element the other day, man I don't like the seating position at all. No leg room!
The Fit/CR-V/Accord has a better backseat IMO. Esp since you have kiddos.

Are you sre you were in an Element? It has nothing but rear legroom...In fact, I have a harder problem to reach back to the kiddo's than any other vehicle looked at so far.
I saw some more of the info on the Insight space...decent enough.
Still out to pasture on what and when for the soon to semi-retire 6th gen's replacement. I want something a little different on one hand...I do spend what's equal to an extra workday+ on the road each week. But, still safe, inexpensive and with enough versatility for different chores and of course comfortable. You know, basically everything.
stevencrosbie 12-04-2008, 10:24 AM Toyota Tundra CrewMax!
More legroom than almost anything on the road!

There is space but the rear seat is literally on the floor and I can't imagine sitting back there for more than the time I did. The front seats are also smack on the floor so you can't put your feet under them. It's very awkward feeling to me. For a small child, sure its good. But I can see full sized adults enjoying it back there.
atomiclightbulb 12-14-2008, 05:32 PM I'm seriously considering the Insight as a future replacement for my Accord. The 8th Generation Accord is ok, but its a bigger car than I want. The fuel economy of the latest Accord also seems slightly worse than the 7th Generation Accord.
I like the hatchback on the Insight. The concept interior also has 60/40 split rear seats, and I don't think you can even get those on an Accord.
The Insight is classic Honda: compact, functional, and simple. I feel the Accord has lost some of that in recent years. I may choose the Insight because its the kind of Honda I am used to.

Looking good!

Edmunds did a full test of the Insight EX.
Freaking sweet!
Accordlover 01-11-2009, 04:18 PM I just emailed this to my godmom. She'll be thrilled. The insight is what she wanted before she bought the Fit, but couldn't wait for it since her Ody was MIA.
I see some Insight in her future. :p

Motortrend did a small test with it. When trying to get good gas mileage, they got 65 mpg!

True, but LESS gas mileage than almost anything on the road.......:lmao:

Bottom line: The Insight looks so much better than the fugly shape of the Prius. Toyota wins for nice, clean interior. I'll take Honda:D
USAFRET 01-16-2009, 08:16 AM What's with the Tokyo By Night dash design??? Seems a little Atari to me.

That's funny you say that. I was thinking that it does look like a Civic knocked up a Prius... too weird looking for me. :thumbsdow
Tuolumne 01-16-2009, 01:31 PM Interior is atrocious, that's all you'll get out of me. The Prius (1st/2nd/and now 3rd gens) all look like a peice of crap. Ugly, no styling language, just ugly.
Viper98912 01-17-2009, 06:51 AM Did anyone notice that Edmunds said there would be shift paddles in the EX model? On a car with a CVT?
