I realize there has been a thread before about this product. I am curious if anyone has installed this? If so what are the performance gains? Also to clarify is this synonymous with intake manifold? If that is the case then the only thing missing from my awareness is an aftermarket header. Does anyone have information on this part too? Thanks again all for all the help:)

An FYI about intakes...

you actually don't want to smooth on an intake, you want a slightly rough surface. this aids with atomization of the incoming charge... on the exhaust side however you do want a mirror smooth surface.

FYI about headers... the late gen J series engines have the exhaust collectors cast on the head... so no traditional headers for us unless you modify your OEM head and tap for an exhaust flange. This design WOULD however aid you in adding a turbo as your collector is already in place from the factory... I wonder if this is what Honda had planned all along... HMMMMMM

so our only options for bolt-ons would be cai and catback exhaust?

well... Not for bolt ons... but for off the shelf, yes.

well...

A Bolt on is any item that can be bolted on to increase performance and requires NO tuning.

You can have any of these items prototyped or custom made... They are still bolt ons, but are NOT off the Shelf items

I kind of disagree on your "bolt on" description, it could entail many items like intakes manifolds, camshafts, big value/ported heads , HC pistons, even turbo kits etc.
Most bolt ons even simple can get more performance with a tune "if" it can be adjusted, but yes i would say must be better than stock out of the box.
