I have a 97 Accord Ex with an Automatic transmission, and 4-wheel disc brakes.. It has around 127,000 miles, and does run good, but about 10 minutes after starting a trip, the ABS light comes on. Seems to do it after the same amount of time everytime. But if i stop, then turn the car off,i have to drive another 10 minutes or so,and it comes back on yet again. Any help is appreciated.

when you brake (warm or cold engine), does your ABS activate for no reason? my did, until my mechanic pulled the fuse during my oil change..... if so, probably bad ABS sensor at one of the wheels.....

Another possibility is the master cylinder. Older Hondas are known for the problem, especially as the temperature warms up. This is NOT a diagnosis, just from having past Acuras with about the same miles.

Oh Well, I gave it a shot. Are you really, really sure that you want to give this car to a family member?

I would suggest to have the code read from a shop. Could be an ABS Modulator/Valve/Sensor etc etc etc....

Make sure you check the brake fluid level in the Master cyl to ensure you don't have a hydraulic abs leak...dangerous...

Hope this helps
