how do you suppose that works? i know in pakistan and india its very common to be able to jack cars off the road. so people have to come up with new ways every 2 years to prevent theft. at one point we thought that gps locators would work, but eventually thieves figured out how to locate the darn thing and they would just end up placing it on another vehicle.

so now basically this is what you have to rely on hoping it acts as a sufficient deterrent.

I've seen these in Malaysia, very common. There's really no good way to prevent carjacking overseas. If they want the car they will have either it or your head. My uncle's friends 4 day old, 45,000USD 7th gen Accord got carjacked from him right outside his office.

Another device they've used for years is a sensor that attaches to your keyring. Before you start the car, you have to line the sensor up to a chip mounted on the dash. Supposedly even the best thieves can't start a car with this technology, but hey what car CAN'T be stolen with a tow truck?

I'm curious.......is that for an automatic, or a manual, or both? We all know that if they really want it , they will get it.

We had this in Trinidad, it was called Mul-T-Lock, and was touted as the most effective weapon against car thieves on the market, second only to Lojack.
