YES! in the reverse light bulb location!

i have the 4300k h1 kit from ddmtuning.om $75 shipped with a lifetime warranty!

really wasn't that hard to do. the h1 bulb slid in the location fine. it doesn't lock up the stock 921 tabs so what i did was take some hot glue and glued around the socket so no moisture could get in from the inside, as well as hold the bulb in place. i had to cut the stock wiring that was goin to the 921 bulb and solder it to the hid harness. mounted the ballasts on the wheelwells inside the trunk.

i use this picture from google to show what normal reverse lights look like:

and with the kit on my car:

Wow dude. That's cool I guess, but how long exactly are you backing up that the HIDs even get a chance to warm up? Don't get me wrong, that's badass; but it just seems waayyy overdone-unless you backup at high speeds through the woods regularly.

As a side note, my HIDs are coming from DDM tomorrow hopefully...after a loooonnngg wait. I will post pics when I get them as well, although they will be in my headlights lol. How long did it take you to get yours? Any shots of the output?

OT, I had found some 30W halogen bulbs that would fit the reverse light socket in my 90' and 96' Integras, and wired up a momentary switch to power them, no warm-up since they are halogen, worked well on both cars and never had any problem with the higher current draw, unfortunately these bulbs don't fit my 05' Accord Coupe.

The momentary blinking of the 30W reverse lights *usually* backs off those drivers who mindlessly got too close for my liking! I figure this is infinately better than the "brake check" action, although one or two drivers got so upset they actually would come even closer, at which point I just slow the car right down to a crawl....... :D

aviography, i did that same mod but used a toggle switch.

nighthawkcoupe, these actually warm up pretty quick. i was impressed how fast they lit up! it took me about 8 days b/c my bulb size i ordered was on backorder but they still got it quick. a coworker ordered 9006 for his civic and got it in like 5 days

:lmao: LOL :lmao:

Some might see it as overkill; to each his own, though. I would've never thought to put HID's in my reverse lights. I just replaced my regular bulbs with LED bulbs. They look cool at night but are definitely not as bright as the HID's. But hey, you shouldn't have to worry about someone not seeing you backing up.

it actually fit in fine but to hold the bulb in place, i used some BLACK hot glue and its nice and firmly in there. glue also created a seal so no moisture gets in.

exactly why i got em. now people can see me backing out
