I've been having problems with my navi on my 05 V6 accord 4dr EXL Navi. What’s happening is when I turn on the car sometimes it works fine. other times the navi screen stays on the honda globe and eventually starts working. Sometimes it reboots and I have to re-enter the 4 digit radio pin. I've ran the navi diagnostic by simultaneously holding down "Map/Guide, Menu and Cancel". When the navi diagnostic comes up everything is fine but FI-ECU and the METER occasionally flash red, than go back to green. My car was recently hit on the side while parked we had no problems until that accident. I'm assuming the DVD rom drive will have to be replaced (not sure).

Other things I've done to fix: disconnected the battery for 10 minutes, reloaded the software. Still having problems. are there any diagnostic tests that I'm missing?

I'm taking the Honda into a Honda Service Center tomorrow, and I'm hoping a state farm field rep will allow them to fix it.

If they don’t I’m going to have to get the DVD ROM drive off ebay because 4k is to much…

Sounds like you have some kind of wiring connection issue, probably with power if you keep having to re-enter the Nav code. Did you check the harnesses on the back of the Nav drive to make sure they are plugged in securely?

The dealer can do full diagnostics to track the wiring issue. They should, it is decribed in the service manual.
