I have an 03 4dr accord and it seems like the TCS light comes on at just random times and stays on for a while. I know its supposed to come on when the tires are slipping, it does that a lot. But sometimes after it starts slipping the light will stay on, and then sometimes it just comes on for no apparent reason. Has anyone had any problems with their TCS systems, and is this something i should be concerned about.

Mine was doing the same thing too. When it was doing that it happened every morning after a few miles of driving. When it happened I would just turn the car off the next chance I got and it would go away. It hasn't happened for a month. I get the feeling it's a wheel sensor or some thing because we got some rain and I was driving in puddles so maybe something got cleaned off.

Under the brake pedal there is a switch that often goes bad after a while. You will need to take off the lower plastic cover to see it. Disconnect it from the connector, turn it right to release it and replace it with a new one. Part: 36750-SMA-003 (at least this is what it was on my '03 v6 coupe) SWITCH ASSY., STOP & CRUISE. Number 8 on the diagram:

That is the cheap way out. If something else is wrong with the TCS, then well, it may be more complicated and expensive to fix, but try that first.

Same thing has been happening to me, off and on, for the past 2 years. I started a thread, because searching TCS gave me absolutely no results. When it comes to searches on forums, I fail. :(

Does the "TCS" light come on along with the amber triangle with "!" come on? Or just the amber triangle with "!"?
