i know that everytime the hi beams are on the foglight will shut off.

my question is if there is anyway to rewire the OEM switch (with the foglight switch) so that i can keep the foglight on when i flash the hi beams.

why?

I KNO I KNO im weird... for some reason it just bugs me that it always turns off when i turn on the hi beams. i figured it was a quick fix... and that it wouldnt be too hard to do. but i was just wondering if anyone on the forums has done that yet.

the street that i live on is really dark. its a small street in a quiet neighborhood and on more than on occasion i didnt even see a pedastrian not far from me. turning on the hi beams helps me see if there is anyone on my street and i think its a lot safer since my street is so dimly lit.

My car's foglights stay on with the hi-beams on. Then again they're wired so I can use the foglights with or without the headlights on. The directions make them only come on with the headlights, and that's not what I wanted. So they'd need to be wired up differently. Mine still will go off with the headlights if left on, they'll also flash with the marker lights when unlocking the car.

When i installed HIDs the lower power consumption alowed the lowbeams and the highbeams to be on at the same time. i will check today if the fogs are on at the same time too.

If you really want to do this you might have to dig into the electrical schematics a little bit to disable that function, or you could just make your own set up with the switch, battery and lights.

Its not a power consumption issue. There are laws in some states that only allow you to have two sets of lights on at a time (not including parking/running lights) Since the highs and lows come on when the highs are turned on the fog lights were required to shut off to obey that law. Its only a law in some states, but if you have to get your vehicle inspected they do check for that. Just throwing it out there.
