Yesterday I got into a big puddle, and at the stop light I heard high pitched squealing sound somewhere from beneath (belts ??, transmission ??) for about about 10 seconds. Never heard it again since. So what was that? Should I be concerned? princess 01-07-2009, 07:43 AM Wet belts will squeal. As will several wet moving parts. I'd check to make sure there's no milky color in the oil & ATF. But likely you won't find anything. You NEVER want to go into a puddle up to the bumper!
