I have a '09 Accord Coupe V6 Crystal Black Pearl. I was thinking about getting some accessories for my new car. What i have in mind so far is the Full Nose Mask, Body Side Moldings, Moon Roof Visor, and Interior Illumination. I think it will look good with this combination. All suggestions are welcomed.

Full Nose Mask - it will damage your paint eventually due to moisture or fricktion. Stay away!
Body Side Moldings - dont like the look - too busy looking IMO
Moon Roof Visor - gaudy IMO - hate it
Interior Illumination - not a bad idea if you like that sorta things.

Personally, I like to keep my rides clean. But it's your ride, do what makes you happy!

I heard the clear ones get damaged and don't look good in the future. Ima take care of my nose mask so i dont have to worry bout paint issues. The body side moldings aren't really for looks but for functionality but heard that they fall off later along the road. The parts guy told me at honda.... thats the only bad thing. Got any pics of the moonroof visor on an 8th gen coupe?

What he said. To add. I have the interior illumination. I like it. But after a while it feels a little cheap and aftermarket-ee. I think had the used the same light level but with a whiter light rather than blue it would have looked a little more "elegant"

The visor has function but it really ruins the lines of the car. I would have gotten body side molding to prevent very expensive door dings but I couldn't stand the look of them. Now had I gotten a sedan I would have gotten then side molding.

FYI I also have an 09 CBP coupe

Hmm... Thx for the post hereforinfo. I dont like having that cheap aftermarket ricer look. People say the light is very dim though and match with the interior lights at night. is it because the light is blue?

I wanna see pics of a black coupe with the mask, moldings, and visor, or pics of each one.

If you live in the snow belt I highly suggest the Auto-start.

I'd skip the moon roof, visor, too. If you want ventilation, the roof tilts. I like the 1/2 nose masks but I only put them on for extended higway trips. Not a good idea to leave them on for extended lengths of time. Black especially will start to show scratching. The side trim and interior lights are personal preference.

How about the auto-dim rearview mirror and the cargo net. Not much for looks but immensely more functional. Love mine and use them all them time.

The all weather mats are nice. Much more durable and easier to clean than the thin carpeted mats but they are not good for snow. I live in NC and they're perfect for trips to the beach and rainy days.

Body Side Moldings - No way makes the car have too many lines.
Moon Roof Visor - looks cheap
Interior Illumination - go for it.

Okay so the visors are out...u guys convinced me. The side moldings i think ima get them. the moldings aren't really for the looks and i don't think it will affect the styling too much. Interior illumination i think i will pass. I wouldnt say its a waste of money but i would like to save that extra $100 in my pockets. For the full nose mask, i think it will look great with the side moldings IMO but idk cuz ive never seen it in person. Im taking the mask off about every 2 weeks or so cuz i get it washed and waxed at a local car wash. Will it still show major signs of corrosion/scratches in a year? Also hows the functionality of the mask? Im getting these for the actual purpose of them but also don't want to kill the looks/styling of my car. Im gonna compare the looks to the functionality then decide. More suggestions please.

Alrite don't make fun of me....but long story short, some friends and i were....high, and someone said i looked like a camel and we laughed. Later on it became my nickname somehow. Then my buddy was makin fun of my scar(had it since like 8 years old)i have right in between my eyes and it kinda looks like a mole now as i aged. That's when he invented my new nickname Ca - Mole....Kinda lame huh? This scar is kinda my trademark.

The mask is supposed to prevent scratches, nicks, bugs....rite? Im picturing it in my head as im looking at my car and i think i will like the results. Looks and function. The only thing is that people say ima get scratches wth! Even if i take the bra off, clean it, dry it, wash+wax my car then reinstall...i will still see scratches? This is planning to be done every 1.5-2 weeks...

Dirt will inevitably get between the mask and the paint. Mask moves around, even very little, will grind the dirt onto the paint. Over time, the paint will be scratched up, no matter how well you take care of it.

I would skip all of those accessories. Get a trunk mat, trunk lid cover, and all-weather floor mat. They polishes up the car far better and protect it better.

All weather mats are NOT good for snow? Why is that? I was going to order all weather mat OEM or weathertech one because of so much snow in Chicagoland.

Thanks for the input ICE. I am stumped now... i don't want the clear bra so iono anymore... Im still thinking of investing my money on the side moldings. I have great use for it cuz my college has wayy too many people with tiny little parking spots....

About the mask. So your saying i will get more scratches with it on than with nothing on there? its that the purpose of a bra tho? to prevent scratches dings, nick, bugs...etc

Also uscratch. i think its because the oem mats leak water from the side top or bottom.

the bra is a double edge sword does protect against rockchips but it does scratch paint because it rubs the sides. If you can live with scratches and not rock chips then get it. Clear bra would be better but over time it can get alittle yellowish but not too much.

sell your car and get a hummer

From the official description for the full nose mask: Felt-lined backing for a smooth, wrinkle-free, protective fit that is "resistant" to "slippage" and mildew. Is this true or just an advertising gimmic? If this were true then scratching wouldn't happen. Anyone on the forums have nose mask, side moldings, or moonroof visor w/ pics? i remember seeing moldings on a black coupe before but wasn't interested in them. Now that i see the paint job isnt very good on our cars i wanna get them. cant seem to find those pics....

Happy if I can help. I think it is the blue color. Let me reiterate that I am very happy with it. But lately I noticed I haven't been using it as often. For those of you that don't know they add an on/off switch (button) to the left of the steering column which is nice. It is a flush OEM mount as well. If need-be I will snap a photo and post it up.

The interior illumination is a cool option. Just giving my brutally honest analysis as I do with everything. But yeah I think it is the shade of blue that looks aftermarketish. If I had to do it all over again I still would have gotten it.

I hope you mean H1. Because the H2 and H3 definitely are not real Hummers. Just general motors vehicles with a hummer nameplate :lmao:

I would put the illumination in my car but not atm. i wanna spend by money on something that will protect my car, not just for looks. im thinking more about investing in the body side moldings and full nose mask.

Having owned a full nose mask (on prev. gen accord, dark blue), I can confirm no matter how well you take care of it it will scratch your paint (not deep or anything but will show up on dark colors). Another thing is people do steal masks. I had mine stolen twice. I'd rather deal with some rock chips and just touch them up than use a mask.

side moldings aren't near as "functional" as you would think...seen many cases where they aren't in the right spot and door still gets dinged...they prob still work though 75% of the time (making up percentages) but def mess up the lines (imo)
interior foot well lights are a nice touch, i like and get complimented
i installed the cargo manager net in the trunk (coupes don't lend well to putting stuff in the backseat), a necessity for groceries and misc stuff

Nosemask ? might as well get a pocket protector.:lmao:
but yeah if you are in tight spots on parking get the moldings.

Id get what appeals to you, thats why Honda offers so much, everyone like different things.

I like the Interior Illumination, nice light, not to much.
I have the side moldings, they DO work and wont fall off if they are installed properly.
splash guards:thmsup:
all season mats:thmsup:
cargo hooks:thmsup:
trunk tray
dont care for the nose mask, Ive got one and used it once, wont fit with the Grillecraft lower grille Ive got now anyway. dont like the look of clearshield.
dont like the look of the moonroof deflector either.
Thats just my taste tho, get what you like!

Does anyone have a really good aftermarket supplier for OEM parts. Thinking about the Trunk Mat and Splash Guards.

Oh BTW, my screen name represents the car that I used to race. Had it for years and just stuck with me.
