Given a choice, would you rather have a I-4 EX 5-speed with NAVI sedan or an EX V6 sedan without? They are both about the same price. I know, I know... Honda should've made a 6-speed EX V6 sedan, but they didn't and I don't see one in the near future. :blah:

I think I'll try to work something out with my mom.. Drive the car for a couple of years, then trade in her Camry for the 8th gen MT accord sedan (I4 or V6 if they finally have one). Then give my car to her. With the way she uses cars, shopping, work, downtown, etc, I don't think she should be driving a new car. :) The Camry had practically no door dings and no scratches until she started taking it to work. Now it's full of dings, has several deep scratches and is beginning to have a lot of problems. The brakes aren't as responsive as I'd like them to be either. You got to slam it down pretty hard before you start feeling them work. Almost ran into a parked car because of it. :blah:
Funny. I attached a poll to it, but it didn't show up. It's there now.

Thanks, xcel. I already knew that, but I wanted to get a 4-door sedan. They don't sell those in a MT and V6. :( If I wanted to get a MT coupe, then I would've stuck with my old car for a while longer. It's just that the new Civic Si is supposed to come out next year and my old car isn't getting any younger.... (read: lower trade-in value and increased maintenance). I'm not in a position to do any trading right now. I'm just wishing they have a MT V6 Sedan since I'm beginning to get annoyed by the AT having a mind of its own. :)

Here in the middle of no where, I would get the V6 and pass on the Navi. Hardly ever would use it and can't see paying the $2k for it. If I lived on either coast, there is no doubt I would be the Navi.
I would love to see a V6 MT in the sedan. That would be a great car! I would have to pass on it since my wife did not like driving my Jetta with the 5 speed. The AT was a requirement for the new car. Now I wish I would never have bought a AT for her when we traded the '90 LX MT for the '93 EX AT. That 90 is still one of my favorite cars that I have owned.

I didn't even want to consider getting the Navi until I found out that you could hack it a little bit and that it also includes a trip computer. I know the MDX had it, but I always thought that was because it's an Acura... I didn't know it was part of the NAVI. Oh well. I'll probably end up driving my car for the next 7 years anyway. I still like it even if it doesn't have a Navi!

I4 MTw/ NAVI hands down. thats the car i really wanted, but they didnt have navi so i just got non-navi (which i now regret, especially since i'm going to SoCal for college in the fall and have no idea where anything is or how to get anywhere)
V6 power is nice, but MT is nicer (to me). now V6 + MT.... :naughty:

I could go with a I4 MT EX without Navi...haha
But I need leather. Sick of getting shocked.

I might go for a MT if it came in a sedan, but I am a dork and would rather have a triptronic like the TL so I can pick and choose what I want to use and when.
But for the poll, I'd do the V6 w/out navi again. I drove 4's before and now I have a six, I'll never go back unless it's a really nice turbo sports car.  I thought about the NAVI and looked at it, but it would be another toy I really don't need. I'm like a friggin mapquest anywho and have a really good sense of direction. Besides the idea of something talking to you, but when you reply back to it it doesn't converse kinda freaks me out. Besides, I'm taking the extra $2k that I didn't spend on the Navi and heading to Cancun for a week or so in July

Looks like another "hung jury" (8-8 so far).. I guess it proves that you can't go wrong with either decision! :D

why not a I4 with a handheld NAVI system....much cheaper, and works in Canada too :)

I already have a GPS receiver setup on my laptop that I could use, but it just isn't the same. It doesn't have the speed sensors and stuff to detect figure out where you are when there's no satellite reception (tunnels and some large cities). It doesn't have a trip computer. The screen can't be on the dash. Doesn't mute the radio when announcing directions, etc... I'd rather have a built in unit if it didn't cost so much!
Only some handheld navi's work in Canada.. With most of them, you got to load the maps for the section of the country you're going to first (ie east coast, west coast, midwedt, etc) since their memory size is so small.

newer systems are smarter...check out something like the Garmin c330

useful specially if you have more than one car IMHO

It was tied before I voted - 10 to 10.
It was a touch choice for me - but not because of the NAVI. I guess I'm one of the folks who want to see a 6cyl/6spd available on the sedan.

if your not concern about power but interested on extra feature specially a navi is a very helpful tool to have when going on trips and it will help guide you to the right direction, but if just you are gonna drive it locally and if you hardly go on trip and will not even drive it on vacation. IMO its not worth it and your better getting the v6 accord and has more power, they cost about the same, and you'll be very happy. The gal per mile of the v6 is 2 gal less than the 4 cyl. Its really up to you and good luck w/ your choice.

Spending a lot of time driving in San Francisco, I finally switched to AT. Much less stress on precipitous hills in traffic. On flatlands, I might still have MT.

Amen. I love driving stick but when I go into downtown SF I bring my parents cars lol. Even this one guy next to me in an S2000 stalled on the California street hill, even though I heard him rev it pretty high with ebrake :(

The test drive made my decision easy. It was an unequivocable, seat-of-the-pants vote for a V6. What's a Navi  ?
(Didn't want Navi for the Ody either, but I'm not a big electronics consumer by some standards.)

He probably forgot to take off the ebrake or he's a new driver.. Must've been scaaaary going up the hill... I remembered the first time I went up a hill, I revved the hell out of the engine and burned up my clutch. :blah: There are more and more cars out there with hill start assist. It's basically does all the e-braking for you while you go uphill. Hopefully Honda will put that in their cars soon so newbies don't have to tear up the trannies.

No that hill is SERIOUSLY steep. I didn't even bother to use the brake to keep my mom's ML320 stopped on the hill. I just let the TC slip and the car held with the revs at 1500RPM.
