Hi,
The passenger side rear view mirror on my car broke. I want to replace it with an after market part. I am looking for info/diagrams for
1. how to open the right side panel and
2. for installing the mirror.
Any help is appreciated :)
Thanks

Here is a link for a stock mirror parts. The trim panel just pops off/on.

Thanks for the response nehonda.
This is a power mirror. So do I have to open the door siding to make the wire connection?

you can remove the door panel if you choose to.
1. remove the screw in the door latch cover (hidden behind the chrome handle)
2. remove the screww in the door pull (hidden under a pop up cap)
3. slide inner door handle/lock swith cover towards the dash and it will pop out. unplug the lock switch. you can leave it like that andmanuever it out of the door panel or unclip the door latch rod from the handle and remove it completely. just push the clip off the linkage and slide the linkage off the handle.
4. there is a pushpin that needs to be removed from the upper left corner of the door panel. be careful and use a flat blade screwdriver to pry it out, or use panel remover tool. also just pull on the cover above the push pin to get it off. it is held in with two push clips.
5. at the door pull pull the assembly up (from the rear) and slide back (away from the car) and the assembly/switches will come out.
6. disconnect the plugs from the switches
7. there are panel clips holding the door panel to the door. start at the front of the door, about where it is seperated into 2 pieces. you should be able to slide a finger back there and pull the door panel towards you. (it will be tight but don't worry you wont break anything) just pull all around the door panel and you will feel it unclip and come away from the door
8. twist the light from the door panel
9. push up on the door panel after all clips are removed and it will come off.
installation is reverse of removal. just line up the lock cylinder with the door panel and slide it back down onto the door. connect all the harnesses (light, lock, window switch etc.) shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to get the panel off and no more than 20-30 to remove the panel, install and wire the new power mirror and reinstall the door panel.
hope this helps.

Thanks Jeremy
Well its just that I was hoping that I didnt have to open the door siding.
All the pictures of the mirror assembly shows the connector wire to be small in length.
