: XenonDepot 5000K HIDs installed
J. Paolo 01-10-2009, 04:22 PM Finally got a chance to take some pics of my new HIDs. Had them professionally installed (in the engine compartment) a few weeks ago and am loving them! Thanks Steve for your assistance!
**Just a note, I was in a parking garage so thats why the light on the wall might look a bit slanted.
listen to remix 01-10-2009, 04:32 PM Nice rims! Are you satisfied with the 5000k output? I went with 6000k, still waiting for them in the mail
Stephen83 01-11-2009, 01:06 PM Looks nice. My screen shows light blue glare. Does it have that in person?
listen to remix: FYI the rims he got are stock wheels w/o hub caps...

Throwdown 01-11-2009, 03:31 PM Any pics of how it is professionally wired up? Did they remove your bumper or mount in the engine?
Just curious bc I'm going to be installing my XD's soon..
wekiser 01-12-2009, 06:19 AM Dude........should have 1st spent money on rims!!! Then the lights.......sorry but the factory steel rims really do not look good at all!! IMHO......wow!
AznX TL 01-12-2009, 07:38 AM im pretty sure those are his winter tires, because all coupes come with 17" wheels unless you got the v6.
and winter tires you wanna go smaller and thinner.

I guess no one really seems to care as it is a personal preference but when you go above 4300k you lose any appearance of OEM style HID. 5000k is a blue-white. 6000k is even more blue. and 8000k looks like you only have xenon filled bulbs. You can get away with 5000k as they still have plenty of usable light

I thought 4300k was a bit yellow, 5000k was bright white, and 6000k had a tint of blue...
LateNites 01-12-2009, 01:07 PM Here is a pic of the kelvin chart. Hope the pic works, as its blocked while I am at work.

LOL. Easy guys, I live in Ottawa Canada. There my winter rims! (See my profile pic) I hate them, but I don't wanna damage my alloys. All coupes come with 17" alloys stock. Only the base Sedans come stock with ugly steel rims and plastic wheel covers. ;)
Sorry for the glare, its my camera. I'll have to take some pics with a better cam.

5000K is definitely as high as I would go. I was gonna go with 4300K but wanted a little more of a bluish tinge.
