I've heard of blue tints on the side view mirrors...kinda like bmw has...does this actually work?

Yup extremely annoying. Even worse when the high beam is on, which for some reason most SUV drivers do have them on. I high beam them if they are coming at me several times till they understand I'm blind by their stupidity, or medical condition (in either case then you shouldn't be driving when it's dark, or ever for the the former). Blue tint cuts down the glare a bit, but not enough, and makes backing up at night an adventure.

Yeah, it's supposed to cut down on glare. I have a pair coming for my Passat, I'llo tell you how they work then:)

Honestly, I'll take a nice projector xenon beam over a big halogen anytime, any day (on an oncoming car).

When I had my windows tinted, it helped a lot with the glare

I miss driving my little cousin's V8 Touareg. Both of her truck's mirrors dim automatically based on the interior autodimming mirror. it's awesome!

My truck does that. It is awesome and probably a feature I can't live without :D
