... less drama, the better (the way I look at it)! The inter-netz is vast, there are many other enthusiast/interest based forums/boards specific to whatever one's fancy maybe...

Something new.....Not just the same thread for weeks. I'm just saying...the audi forums I used to go to were exciting. Something new at the top every time ...Car forums are usually very active so the comment about "You drive a honda, not much to it" makes zero sense to me.

That's b/c of the Torqueless Hondas :D

Get a 5.7L V8 and things move a lot faster :D

Seriously though, there is a lot discussed here for the real size of this forum (small).

This forum/board is Accord-centric (as opposed to being inclusive of Honda/Acura vehicles). That's one distinct model that comes in two variations: coupe -&- sedan. There's only so much you can chit-chat about. Not to mention the Accord isn't a quote/unquote performance-oriented platform, and the general demographic of a typical Accord owner isn't comparable to other makes/models who may be drawn to online forums.

And lastly, for some reason or another, this forum is next-to-impossible to discover for new/prospective Accord owners.

Admittedly, I get more mojo' in regards to broader topics of interest from other car-sites that I'm involved/active w/. But, for Accord-related dialog/discourse, this is the place to be. . .

Again, I believe less is good... there's sufficient/adequate activity here to keep my interest!

I have to agree that this site is dead most all the time. I was a long time member of vwvortex.com (volkswagen forum), and the comparison is night and day to this. I also think it may be that there is not much on the market for the 8th gen yet.

My thoughts exactly....And this is by far the best site for accords. But still, you would think there would be more going on here for that very reason.

Want a new Question? Here's one...I Just ordered the Raptor HID kit from DDM for 39.95
(H11 4500k 35 Watts) I know I didn't have to order the assessory harness but I don't want to take the chance of frying my wiring. Anyway, I got to thinking...Do I need 2 harnesses vice one? DDM does not sell them in pairs unless you order them.

yeah....this forum is kinda slow for some reasons or the other.....
NICO club is quite faster IMO

btw, does anyone know how come there are so few aftermarket parts for accord than altima?? Didn't they both come out around the same time??:dunno:
there are quite a lot of body kits, intakes, exhaust and turbo options for altima coupe~~what about accord coupe??(the first aftermarket body kit is still being built:lmao:)

The altima came out I think one year earlier than the accord. But you have to think they didn't change the motor all that much hence thats why the have more aftermarket support. Also not alot of people seem to interested in performance either. The next thing I'll be doing is checking on pulleys for the I4, as well as the 2009 TSX TB since it has different part numbers. Will it be bigger our smaller I dont know yet but I'm going to look into it. As well I'm buying a Z2 head to try to have cams compared to the K24A2 intake and K20A3 exhaust cams. Or at least send them to Brian Crower to get something rolling. Its slow moving but I'm trying to gather as much information as I can to see what works with our cars. I would think some of the V6 guys that were interested in performance would check in the A/down-pipe from the previous gen would fit and or line up. Since their is a down pipe cat eliminator that has been made for the previous gens. As well as other things that could be used on the V6 engines in these accords.
I understand some maybe trying but most on this forum, but most are just not into that type of thing and or worried about voiding the car warranty which is understandable.

You know why? Here's why.

Accord threads --> HID, MMS, Rattle Rattle Rattle, my fuel economy sucks, what are your audio settings, winter tires?
Mazda6 threads --> custom turbo setup, MT-90/Neo/RP MTF, optimized TB, TBS, resonator delete dynos, custom engine mounts, custom built pop-up LCD screens, custom LED tail trims, custom homemade sub amplifiers made with LM741/capacitor, etc etc

Pulstar plugs:
Accord forum --> They suck and they don't work I know because I'm God
Mazda forum --> 20 people tried them, half say they work good, half say their insulation cracked

AEM CAI question:
Accord forum --> DON'T DO IT they're gonna void your warranty and it's gonna mess up your engine!
Mazda forum --> DON'T DO IT! Get the CP-E, they give you a custom ECU tuner to give you double the gains, dyno proven.

MS6 = factory turbo
accord= cant even add on an aftermarket header none the less tune the ecu.

Forgot "and AWD"
I actually seen a few of those ms6's go for 16900 around here.
I gotta say though the MS6 is a cool car I just hoped they fixed the boost problem with it.

I'll gladly take this tight, small community over a bunch of morons talking about ricing out their Honda, which is what you'll find on a lot of other forums. I can't stand riced out Hondas, let alone Accords. Leave that crap to the tin-can 90s Civics (if you want to look like a fool that is).

Here's what I've noticed, following off Benji's post #24:

Driveaccord.net: My tranny is shifting hard, my interior rattles, how can I get HID, my Accord V6 is just as great as a bmw 3! (yeah....about that...), why doesn't anything ever go wrong with my Honda (like it's a problem:D ), look at my xenons in my stock reflector housings! (tisk tisk), homelink module retrofit, why is there rattles coming from everywhere? unlined trunk? wtf?

Passatworld: Help, my glovebox broke, help, my cv boots are gone, help, my control arms are gone, help, my tie rod ends are gone, help, why is there a snowflake flashing at me?. GIAC or APR?, look at my oem vag mods (w8 overhead lighting module, w8 bi-xenon retrofit. new bettle sunglass holder, s4 engine/tranny mounts, s4 control arms), VAG-COM, "STOP-BRAKE FAULT!"? wtf? abs module? what?, why is there water on my floor? comfort control module? frayed wires? what?, W8 bellypan!, why did my engine logo fall off?, how can I recode my tip?, what's the difference between the B5 (big jetta) and B5.5? (audi), why is the passat so expensive to own?? (there's an audi logo on EVERYTHING, that should clue you in:)

Sometimes there's just more to talk about in terms of things going wrong, which is certainly the case at the former forum. I have to say, and please don't take this the wrong way, vw owners are a lot more enthusiastic about the brand in general, and some won't consider anything else. I love my Hondas ( :) ), but there's a different type of following between vw/audi people. Perhaps becuase they aren't as common, I don't know, but it's just different.

NICO club : turbo/supercharge kit, taillight overlay, tranny problem, LED taillight conversion, body kit, rims/tires, interior LED light, LED scuff plate, HID kit, battery problem, aftermarket NAV, tint windows, cold aire intake, exhaust, module for opening/closing moonroof&windows, prob with cops, CVT or MT, suspension kit,

I check the newest link post twice a day and there are typically 300 - 400 posts. New posts might be in the same threads but the conversations keep going. Other boards I visit have more top threads but fewer responses.

I still check out VWVortex. Its a popular place. No wonder it moves so much. Especially the Car Lounge. Within an hour, a thread that was at the top of page one is 3 pages deep. Funny, there's a similar thread going on there now . . . http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4154430

Here is a idea if you want new threads and new things to talk about why not start off something on your own instead of wait for others to???? I log on in here everyday and there are more then 100 new posts. That means this site is active.keep in mind not all posts/threads are about my 7th gen accord but i like cars especially accords(all) so its good enough to read up on what others are saying even if it doesn't concern my car.I just don't know what ur expecting from this site.Would you like it if we made threads about the bolt holding my seat to the floor of the car or wait with little tiny rocks that set stuck between the tread on our tires... maybe even the little black dust the gathers at bottom of my exhaust tip cover???or how fast does your heated mirror take to heat up thread,if u start that thread off i will repley with a link to youtube to a video showing my touching my mirror with a stop watch :lmao::lmao::lmao:

The CVT concerns the transmission not the motor. Again it mainly because the motor didn't really change that much.

I was gone for like 4 months, then came back and was expecting lots of threads to read, but NOOOO.
Same issues over and over (Brake making noise, back shelf, mpg, etc.)
May be because it is the Winter and people tend to not touch their car (Tune) them in the Winter......I don't know.
