anyone know why cats knead you with their front paw? and purr like a whiirring cuckoo bird? and then do that specifically at 5 am in the morning, and then when they cant wake you up they go sit in a drawer you left open by mistake and since they are so fat they make it topple over?

and wake you up? and then you go back to sleep and back they come purring again kneading your head with their paws sniffing at your face, tickling you with their whiskers, and trying to get under your sheets.

hmm..then they systematically attack your cellphone, keyboard, alarm clock, lamp until your up at 630 am to play with them.

what is with that? why are these cats like that? and why do they like to scratch on my bathrooom door? hah, when i want them to come chill theyll run the hell away from me.

ah, yes, the cats who knock every damn thing down.... my cat runs around knocking stuff off of the dressere and ocmputer desk and kitchen counter. anything she can find to knock over until i give in and get up. sometimes she'll sit there and stare at me.

other times she attacks the mini blinds. she keeps breaking pieces of them off.... :( i just keep taping them back on because i know if i buy a new one, i'ts a new toy for her...

mine also loves to bite my ankles.... :rolleyes:

and she will follow me around my apartment with her toy if i dont play with her enough.

When the kid's cats were here, Minnie would only give us the time of day if they weren't around. If they weren't home or up, then either one of us was her best friend. If they were available, then she'd run from us. She is the one with personality. She's the one that knocked down & broke a picture, she's the only one that got squirted for jumping on the counters or table, she plays fetch with some of her toys, she stashes her favorite toys behind stuff.... I think we FINALLY found them all.....

Sometimes she'd hide from Eeyore & he'd yell for her forever. I pictured her giggling behind the couch.

Their litter box has a lid & she'd use it with her head hanging out so she wouldn't miss anything while busy.

id dont know what id do without my cats..

My childhood kitty died when I was 15, giving birth to premature babies. Out of 5 one lived. I raised him & he really thought I was mama. I had to do the every 2 hour feedings & all! He was big a healthy, but ran away when I got married. :( Then when my youngest daughter was 2 I got another one. All black, long fur, petite. She lived for 19 years. She was a great cat. She didn't die from old age though, she was hit by a car! She was still very healthy & playful until she was killed. She'd run home when she heard the electric can opener from anywhere she was. (from years of giving her the tuna juice) I have not used the can opener since she died. I didn't even realize I'd stopped using it for nearly a year later! I finally just threw it away.

I have chosen not get get another kitty. I don't dislike them. Just not ready. Maybe someday...... :dunno:

The ones that were staying with us had good times & bad. Eeyore was such a sheader that we may never be done with the fur!

If I get another one, I want a male long haired ragdoll. They're huge & usually lazy. I real Garfeild! :)

well these cats actually belong to my roommate, and he wanted to get short haired ones so that they dont shed to much. so he got the short haired domestic breed.

wow, does the first one- chaos shed hair, but his hair is so soft, silky and shiny, its great, the guy looks like a mini panther.

the other one clarity- is one big fat grey tabby, with white paws and pink pads and white belly/tuxedo..shes like a furry jabba da hut..shes got no shape when she sits down.

My last cat's name was Minnie. She was great. More dog than cat, but taken early by a cancer from vaccines.

I'm not ready for another pet, but the kids are. Just don't know.

A cat seems to choose its home instead of the other way around. Ours was a stray that decided to live with us when it was a kitten.

Ours also does the "paw paw" 2-step in the morning and sometimes coos like a pigeon when you pet it just right.

lol yes my cats do cat like bunnies sometimes. their legs and tails dissapear. chaos looks funny like that and clarity looks like a big fat blob. she is about as wide as she is long..a square cat..

i left mine at the house for the first couple of days i lived in my apartment and it drove me nuts!! :bawl: it was just too hard to move stuff in with her there though.

I get VERY attached & so it's hard to want another...... but eventually I will. Our current floorplan isn't good for indoor kitties & that's they way I prefer to raise them. The black one that was hit by a car REFUSED to live indoors! SHe'd stay in for about 2 months, then she'd punish us by peeing on carpet! BAD KITTY! She knew better, she knew I'd kick her out.

She loved to do that at the door rub like she wanted in just to make you wait....then not come in. You could hold her all day long if she came to you, but pick her up & she'd want down NOW! She greeted us when we came home by running up to us as soon as we arrived. It seemed she came out of no where.

She sunbathed & over the years faded to a reddish brown. She had green eyes instead of the yellow that most black cats have.

studying is going in reverse. i think im going to have to downshift and floor it and go WOT the whole way till June 4th starting this sunday.

Cats use fax as toilet, spark house fire


TOKYO (Reuters) - Two kittens picked the wrong place to relieve themselves when they urinated on a fax machine, sparking a fire that extensively damaged their Japanese owner's house.

Investigators in the western city of Kobe have concluded that the fire in January was caused by a spark generated when the urine soaked the machine's electrical printing mechanism.

The fire damaged the kitchen and living room before it was put out by the house's owner, who was treated for mild smoke inhalation, said Masahito Oyabu, a fireman at the Nagata fire station in central Kobe.

The kittens quickly ran to safety, he added.

"If you have a cat, or a dog for that matter, be careful where they urinate," Oyabu said. "Especially keep them away from electrical appliances and wires."

clarity is really cute, last night she was sleeping with me and i rolled over with my back to her and she totally got up crossed over me and cuddled up on the other side of me..seems like she doesnt like me sleeping with my back to her.
