Installed "Depo" Black housed headlamps. The install isn't too hard, but removeing and replacing the bumper cover can be kind of tricky. A helper would of been nice. I also installed Piaa low beams, and silverstar corner/park bulbs which have a blue coating on them but are amber when lit.

There's a car around here that looks almost the same except without the aero kit. I like the lights but I've never been a big fan of those turn signal bulbs. Dunno why, but this ricer likes plain amber bulbs haha

Looks sweet on your black coupe. Cool and fun stuff when you have the passion, time, and money.

Thanks for your comments everyone. The housings are a subtle difference to the untrained eye. For instance, most people can tell it looks different but they do not know why (mainly non accord owners.) I've had several occasions to try the piaa bulbs at night since posting and let me just say those things are awsome; a nice white light. I have yellow tinted Hoen all weather bulbs in the fogs and it's really quite a contrast. This is a good thing, it makes you much more noticable to oncomming trafic.

I removed the bumper and headlights the night before installation useing these directions... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/561772/2
It probably took 1.5 -2 hrs and 3 Heineken's. The next day I was waiting for the UPS person to drop them off. Once recieved, I had the car back together within 45 min.

Lights look realy cool! How bright are they with the Piaa low beams? I am thinking about getting them on my 05 4dr. Any advice on the install would be appreciated as well.

Lights look realy cool! How bright are they with the Piaa low beams? I am thinking about getting them on my 05 4dr. Any advice on the install would be appreciated as well. I purchased the Piaa bulbs from ebay, and they actually came from Japan it only took 4 days to get to me!!, but if I order stuff from California it takes 2 weeks :dunno: anyways, Package says extreme white HB. 12 v 55 w. they have a light blue coating on them which I assume is what takes away the yellow when lit. I would say the bulbs are slightly brighter than stock but, that may be an ilusion due to white light verse yellow.
Advice on install in addition to link to bumper removal directions from earlier post:
*Drink beer after install.:drink:
*Get a helper (much easier)
*turn on low beams and mark cut off point on garage wall, door or house with a couple of pieces of tape. This will be helpfull if adjustment is neccessary after install.
*Install the bulbs in the housings before installing housings on the car.
*Do not touch bulbs as the oils on your fingers will adversely effect longevity of the bulbs.
*Place old blanket or quilt under the nose of the car prior to bumper cover removal.
*Stay far away from SRS sensor located at lower driver side front end somewhere. (might be a good idea to disconnect battery) ,..I didn't
*Tighten bolts along the top of the housings first (do not over-tighten)
*Inside of the bumper cover is a large piece of styrofoam It will keep falling out of place when re-intalling cover, use some masking tape and tape the foam to the bumper. you can remove the masking tape once you have the bumper cover back on.

Thanks for the info. I was about to order the HALO RIM PROJECTOR headlights from ebay but saw a post about its poor lighting. It sounds like the lights you have are the ticket. Thanks again for the install advice. By the way, was that beer before or after the install? :dunno:

Do you have to remove the whole front bumper just to change the bulbs or the whole unit?

Nicely done. I love black housing headlights. I'm also a fan of amber bulbs though. Everybody around here has blue ones. I know that those light up amber but I think that amber look better even when they are off.
