Not sure I get this headlight thing. It's clearly the most popular mod here and it looks like plenty of people who know what they are doing, are doing it. But here's my questions:
1. After popping in a new batt, my lighting is pretty good stock. Coming down my street, the light on my coupe is bright and wide. I have driven every BMW ever made for the last 10 years ,for months at a time, and the H coupe lighting is pretty good.
2. It seems to be a major undertaking, not like adding a grill or tint. Does it tax the system in any way?
3. I have not priced it but it would seem to be a chunk of money. Correct?

not dissing the idea, just not sure what is the advantage.

hids to me is kinda like going from analog tv to HD tv. once you get use to it, you cant go back to halogen.

I think my problem is I'm used to halogen....the only xenon car I've spent time in is a BMW 7...everything else was halogen...so I assume HID is much brighter?

hids were my first mod for the coupe...well second since i got tint the day after i got the car and i had to order the hids ...but the light output is much brighter and crisp and it has a more striking appearance ...and like he said once u go hid u never..or at least wont want to go back

i guess its because i prefer my light to be more white than the yellowish halogen lights. and hids last longer than bulbs like silverstar ultras.

If I was privileged & fortunate enough to have had OEM/stock projectors in my headlight's low-beams like the 8th gen' Accord coupes, for my sedan, I would've installed an after-market plug-&-play H.I.D. kit by now (probably one of those 5000K/5500K $75-$100 kits that has a relay & comes w/ a limited-warranty & good vendor-support).

It would've perhaps been my 1st quote/unquote mod', even before the OEM-accessory replica lip-spoiler for the trunklid.
