My gas pedal is sticking the first time I push it on cold mornings. My dealer cleaned the TB when this happened 20K miles ago. Problem solved, but since it came back 20K miles later I'm wondering if they did a half arse job.

I found the TSB for cleaning the 98-00 TB (was there an update for the 01-02?). Most of it looked pretty straightforward, except the part about adjusting the throttle and cruise cables after reattaching them to the TB (TB is removed for cleaning). Are those cable adjustments required only if their was a throttle/cruise problem prior to removing them from the TB, or does their removal from the TB cause them to require adjustments?

Of course the easy solution is to just continue to punch the pedal first thing in the morning...

I had the dealer clean the tb and 15k the sticking gas pedal came back. At my next oil change I mentioned this to the service advisor and before I could finish the sentence he said they would take care of it. The tech worked on it for about an hour I think it was.

Later that night I get a call from the dealer. I thought they were going to say that we forgot to charge you for that service. But the tech said he left his pliers on the pass. side of the firewall. Sure enough I checked and they were there. So it seems there is a quickie cleaning and a more thorough one.

I think myn was never done before, as it was extremely dirty. As such, I had to remove the TB completely (off the car).
Also, if you start to bend the coolant hoses, back on them selves (as the manual state to do), eventually they will leak...
If you take cables off, make sure the right cable goes in the right place, which is not necessarily, how you found them. And, don't forget to bleed the air out of the system (coolant)...
