I am attempting to fix my 92' accord ex-r, and to do so I have to replace the transmission control unit (TCU). I am sure that there are different parts from different years and trim levels that will interchange but am unsure of which..The part number on my particular TCU is 28100-PXO-731 but there are other TCUs with the #s 28100-PXO-732, 28100-PXO-721, and 28100-PXO-722. I have been told that the last two digits are insignificant (assuming it has something to do with year and trim level) by one person at a junk yard where they want $190 for the same part listed on ebay starting around $40. So I would like to buy the part from ebay but am unsure which ones interchange if any. I know that I could play it safe and go with the one with the same serial # but I could get one of the others significantly cheaper. I have searched the forums and found nothing about the TCU at all despite the fact that it is the most common problem on 3rd and 4th gen. accords (per local mechanics). Does anyone know which parts will interchange or have any idea where I may find out?? :dunno: Thanks, Brandon

Try Car-parts.com (http://www.car-part.com/) to locate your part. Lots of high-miler Altima and Accord owners have used this site. Good luck.
