Posting this for a friend who bought an 8th gen a few months ago. Recently she has noticed that when she gets to her car in the morning all the windows & sunroof are open about 1 inch. Anyone experienced this or know about it? (I did a quick search but didn't come across anything relevant) Thanks.

Maybe she's accidentally holding down the unlock on the remote for a few seconds when she thinks she's locking the car..?? I say this because as I'm sure you know, holding down the remote unlock button opens all windows and sunroof. Or maybe the remote batteries need replacing..??:dunno:

That's all I can think of. Some aftermarket systems can vent the car for you as well.

Yep! I did this myself the first day I owned the car.

You want to really screw yourself up. Have it accidentally happen after a night of sleet and freezing rain.

You walk up to your car, and there's a plate of ice standing vertically against what should be your windows, but your windows aren't there, along with a solid sheet over the sunroof that you can touch from the inside haha.

Tell her to read the manual! This is normal, depending on how much your press the unlock button.

Nice work everyone. Turns out she likes to fiddle with the key fob after locking it, pressing the unlock button a bunch. Why, i have no clue, but she's going to unlearn that habit now!

so she locks the car, only to unlock it multiple times when shes not next to it? excellent. good thing the car re-locks itself if you dont open the doors after unlocking...

I had an unusual variation of this issue last night. I was driving over the Coronado Bridge (spans the bay in San Diego) when I started hearing wind noise. I toggled up all of my window buttons, but all my windows were rolled up. I could still hear muffled wind noise as I drove along the freeway. When I finally reached my destination I found the source. My moonroof was slight ajar. Not open, but pitched forward (like the very first stage when the moon roof is opened). I hadn't touched the overhead moonroof button, and I could not have opened it accidentally with the remote while the car was in operation. I'm not concerned about it, thought it was a little weird and I hope it was just a fluke occurrence.
