I looks as if a tiny bug is flying around in the lenses. like that...lol. it also tends to occur when my radio is on. i have 200watt amp on stock radio.

Mine did that for a little while too, but it was with a bad ballast. Todd sent me a replacement ballast and it would do this on that ballast. When I put back in the ballast I was having igniting problems with, That one worked smooth with no flicker. I'd bet on the ballast being bad, or a connection problem. Mine have been perfect thus far after that.

HID should not flicker. I've been using mine for over 3 months with no issues.

Had mine installed on Dec 1st, 2008.
Driver side started to flicker on Jan 28th, 2009.
Went and replaced it with a new one. Warranty 3 yrs.

One of my ballast has flicker issue when voltage drop. I have bench tested two set of HID ballast. One set will flicker while 2nd set works fine with same bulb and same 12V 6A power supply. But when I changed to 13V 11A Power supply, both set work fine.

Thats EXACTLY why im thinking my amp is causing it. I'm glad i wasnt the only one. my lights flicker ever so slightly. more so dimming.

I am having similar problems. But my HID's are brand new I checked all my Connections and grounds everything is fine I even tried moving my ground to a diff. location. Passenger side still flickers and sometimes will just turn off. I do not have any amps or other lights hooked up. ???? I'm really lost? Please help I really don't wont to go thru switching the lights and ballasts its a pain in the azz.

Get some connection grease and put it on all the connections. I was having trouble with one of mine when I was installing them, put some connection grease on all of them and solved the problem right away.

I agree. Some of the issues sound like bad or loose connections.

crappy aftermarket ballasts tend to flicker unless you add some type of current regulator in your harness (and sometimes its not the ballast lol, be shocked.... ready... ITS THE bulb wires with the amps same for cheap d2s connectors!) rofl?
i switched to hellas and the problem stopped

Same thing is happening to me! Both of the sides flicker but not at same time. And the right side just turns off sometimes. I would have to turn the lights off then turn them back on for it to come on. My connections and all is perfect, i have no clue whats going on it could be ballast are bad idk..

The Hids shouldnt be flickering at all unless you have a defective ballast..or the wireing is messed up inside, which i doubt it. I would recommend Omni X HID Kit...Its expensive 185 or so..but honestly after being scammed by SHOPXENON.COM...which the whole kit didnt even work...which pissed me off..i spent the most money i could...for the best rated kit...If you wanna see pix of mine..ill show you ...they look so hot..i wont lie bout that.10k

the light flicks is because the oem harness cannot handle the load from the HIDs...just put a relay harness with some 10g wire...problem solved

basically if its flickering its due to load
you need a thicker wired harness or a load regulator
as you turn on ac and radio you will notice it more
if you have everything off but your lights they dont flicker as much/at all

plus most aftermarket ballasts almost always do this cuz they are poorly made

Well I talked to Steve at xenon depot today and I tested the relay with a volt meter and it read 14.26 so the problem must be the ballast... Well he is going to take great care of me and ship another on out tomorrow no questions asked WOW what a great company. So I hope that will fix the problems. I will let everyone know how things go.

hey heads up

get some dielectric grease from autozone put that in your 9006 to harness connectors only for both, its 1 dollar :) can be used for probably 4 ballasts

that helps even more
