if my pinky toe might be broken, there really isn't anything a doctor can do for it other than tape it up, right??? :dunno: and a $50 copay for an emergency room visit for tape just doesn't seem worth it!

stupid wall..... who put that thing there anyway??? :lmao:

atleast it doesn't exactly hurt. feels weird, but not really in pain unless i try to walk on it. it's some pretty shades of purple though and kinda stiff this morning. (the wall kicked me last night around 5ish.)

MAN that hurts! I don't honestly know if they can do anything or not. I'd be tempted to just tape it up myself. :sorry:

You probably jambed it real bad... hope it feels better soon!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your toe.. That sounded like it hurt!

I don't llike going to the doctors especially when you KNOW what is wrong with you and all you really need is a prescription! My girlfriend was billed $260 for a 5 minute visit with a doctor just to get a $2 prescription. :P She's not paying since the clinic goofed and didn't record the insurance info. :dunno:

Ouch!!! :sorry:

If your toe looks OK (brusing & swelling aside), then it might heal A-OK!!!

The only advantage to visiting your doctor is getting professional opinion and possibly an x-ray to make sure that it will heals right!

Love that movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding!!!" The family quirks and idiosyncrasies fits my filipino and wife's Texas families also!!! I guess that's why that movie became a big hit around the world ...

Domestic: $241,438,208
+ Overseas: $127,305,836
-----------------------------------
= Worldwide: $368,744,044 (not bad for a movie with a production cost & marketing cost of $24 mil!!!)

, ... it was not limited to the Greeks only!!! :lmao:

depending on which bone is broken, they can put a cast on the foot. also means hobbling around on crutches for a few weeks.
keep an eye on the toe. so long as its only bruised, it'll heal eventually. if the toe starts looking black or is cool/cold to the touch, get to the doctors.
otherwise, motrin/ice/elevation.
and for gods sake, whatever you do, dont take the ice pack off and then run to the ER in a panic cause the toe is cold..... ;)

I've broken left pinky toe once and right pinky toe twice. Now, unless the toe is pointing off at an odd angle then a doctor visit is a waste of money.
My father caught his right pinky toe on a chair leg once and it completely broke and was pointing outward, so that required a Dr visit to get it set. Once set, it was just taped.

So in short, just tape it to the next toe and try not to put pressure on it.

won't the windex impede the tape's adhesive ability?

I just saw this thread, so, uh, yeah, what everyone else said!

Ice Ice Ice...best thing to do for it. Unless its pointing off at a weird angle, an ER visit is just a waste of a co-pay (imo) I broke mine about 3 weeks ago, the pain is gone, but the swelling is still there. Because I didn't ice it enough!

I thought 04exnavi was going to say "ice ice baby". Sorry, hope the toe feels better, when you get home elevate it higher then your heart. Helps if you lay down! drink a couple of mikes that might help with the pain.

:paranoid: Sheeplishly admits to practicing his dance moves with a couple of my friends back then. We still don't talk about it.

And I would suggest not trying any, at least until your toe is feeling better! :D
