Does anyone know how to replace the light bulb for the automatic climate control display on the 6th generation Accord?

Check this out........http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=14275

It was buried under 9 pages of post about HID/LED multiple post on the same thing in 8thGen. If you are searching for something like this in the future do an advanced search of problems and solutions. If you can avoid searching 8th gen you will have much better luck.

There is alot of good info in this forum....just have dig through the BS.

Hope this helps!

i recently had my clock burn out and my front and rear defrost side buttons burn out. i didnt go through all of that trouble that it shows in the diagram

i have an 02 coupe dont know if that makes a difference but

at the bottom of the radio there are 2 screws that when removed let you take the center face off the dashboard. i did this and then when you flip over you can see where the bulbs are for the climate control. it is a little hard to get the bulbs out and in because they are set in these little tunnels. i got the bulbs from the dealership for a couple bucks a piece. i think the dealership wanted to charge me around 50 bucks for a simple 10 minute fix

my light that lights up the odometer just burnt out too but i havent looked into how to replace that

thanks not to jack this thread but replacing one in there seems like it could be a little more complicated than the easy ones for climate control and clock. for some reason i feel nervous about taking that out lol:paranoid:

Thanks guys the information helped out. I changed the bulb today and took pictures of the steps.

First take the clock out following these instructions. http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1240

Then take out the three screws holding the trim around the radio in place. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh61/Hondaboy9602/102_0437.jpg

Next pop out the clips holding the trim in place.

Then remove the following screws to remove the back of the climate control panel.

Then remove the bulb for the climate control display. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh61/Hondaboy9602/102_0438.jpg

My clock bulb burned out last week and now this one. I hope the ones in the instrument cluster don't burn out because they look like a pain to replace.

Exactly where are the the three screws holding the trim around the radio? I need to replace the automatic climate control in my 2001 V6 EX-L.

One is behind the clock, pull out the clock and you'll see it. The other two are at the bottom of the trim under the radio. You can kind of see them in the second picture of my previous post.
