View Full Version : Interior Lighting
ejreams 02-09-2009, 09:33 PM I'd really like to get some colored LED's but I can't find any legit sites to save my own life...
Could anyone help me out?
I have a 99" V6
Any info would be appreciated.
Also, if anyone knows, do I have to pull somthing off to get to the dome lights?

dtraill27 02-10-2009, 05:53 AM its pretty easy to take the dome light cover off as well as the rest of the light covers all that you need a is a thin flat head screw driver to pry it open. there are pictures in the manual that show you. there are also tiny notches where you should put the screw driver. you could even try pepboys thats where i got mine. no complaints about quality and they arent expensive

Does pep boys have LEDs? cause I'm lookin to get some 8k's or higher.
but the dome lights are taken off with a screwdriver thats nice to know, thank you. Just like the clock is taken out with a notch underneath it for a flathead. ;) thanks.
Gen7coupe 02-11-2009, 06:29 PM leds for what if you don't mind me asking?
dtraill27 02-12-2009, 07:42 AM yeah you just need to pop the clear cover off the dome light. pretty simple. as far 8ks and temp wise im not sure they are just basic ones i have blue in my map and door lights. white for the license plate lights. i can take pictures if you want but leds off of a website for the license plate might be a better bet because they are probably brighter than my pep boys ones. as far as the inside they look fine. ill see if i can go take some pictures later tonight when it gets dark
markopoloha98 02-12-2009, 04:27 PM i got some at pepboys to start with see the pic
Lxcord 02-12-2009, 05:01 PM i use cold cathode tubes inside my car, i also have a pair of them under my license plate kinda of like the lexus cars.

sorry it took so long. i was busy the weekend. i only used my phone so the images arent great. i didnt do the door lights but they look just like the map lights.
Chaos0550 02-15-2009, 01:51 PM Quick question. Do these blue interior lights put out less, the same, or more light than the stock dome/map/door lights? I've always been curious to know before I make the switchover.
dtraill27 02-15-2009, 03:55 PM less they are pretty much useless for me. the white for the plates give off plenty if you were to put white inside instead of blue youd be fine. blue ordered from a website might be brighter im not sure i just picked up cheap ones from pepboys
