My 1997 accord is shifting a lil hard and if you step on the gas hard the rpms go up but the car takes until like 2.5k to accelerate. If I just press the gas normally it takes off fine.I noticed a small Transmission fluid leak and was wondering if this could be the problem?Or should I just consider the transmission done?I was thinkin of getting the fluid flushed and filter changed(someone suggested that to me)should I only use honda ATF if I do?Sorry for so many questions in one thread.

st - Only honda ATF which is availible online or at a local dealer.
nd - No flushes. Just drain and refill the transmission. Honda does not advise using flush machines on their transmissions.
rd - Have you checked your transmission fluid level? Low fluid can not only harm the transmission but it will also cause odd or erratic shift patterns. The maintennace/service station procedures section of the owners manual explains in detail how to correctly check transmission fluid.
th - It does sound like you have a transmission problem. You need to diagnose the leak and look into fixing it or adding fluid regularly to ensure it does not get low. Are any warning lights lit? Check Engine? Is the D4, D3, 2, or 1 Light flashing?
