I have a white LX and am thinking about putting some katzkin 2 tone seats in with the seat heater in the driver's seat.

For those of you who have had experience with katzkin seats and seat heaters could you please tell my how you like them.

thanks,

Nathan

What color is your OEM/stock interior (ie. beige/tan, gray, or black)? Also, what 2-tone color scheme do you plan on getting? If you do 2-tone, be sure to get the non-gathered appearance & contrast double-stitching! Perforated center-inserts (back/butt cushions) also looks really-really good. . .

I got the Katzkin leather-interior conversion done in dark-graphite (my OEM/stock interior was gray), so there's a nice & subtle contrast w/ the gray moldings/trim-pieces on the doors, lower-dash, plastic/resin seat-bases, and so forth; the dark-graphite matches the darker 'bits nicely, but isn't as over-powering as black would've been on a gray interior.

The entire seating-surfaces are leather (non-gathered inserts, or known as 'flat'), while the seat-base 'skirt area, front-seat backs (what the rear passengers see when looking forward), and armrest covers (door & center storage-bin) are a textured synthetic material. Basically anything that touches the head/neck/shoulders/arms/back/butt/thighs is leather. IMHO, the leather used is pretty good (similar to semi-aniline w/o the compromises of high-cost & premature wear). . .

The cost was ~$1100/installed @ the time I acquired my Accord sedan. The dealer sent it out to get it done, and it came w/ a limited 5-year warranty. That's a decent deal from my experience, as others have been quoted a bit higher, whereas some quoted slightly less. I wanted an OEM-like fit/finish, so I didn't even consider a D.I.Y. install. . .

I have a few friends who got their OEM/stock leather seats redone for their other vehicles via www.leatherseats.com & added the heating-element. They've all been positive in their reviews regarding the added seat-heating modality.

However, I've heard about seat-heaters hastening the leather's discoloration depending on the fabric worn by the driver/passenger (certain denim, dark-dyes in fabrics, etc'); this seemed to be more often on light(er) colored leather seating-surfaces. I recall this occurred in many late-model & new Lexus vehicles. . .

I have the Tan interior. But on the doors and dash there is a lot of 2 tone. Dark borwn (driftwood on katzkin) and tan (bambo on katzkin).

I am thinking about doing driftwood with bambo inserts (back and butt, not headrest) I am going "flat" not gathered. I want the console lid covered in dirftwood also.

I would like the headrest to have the accord logo if they can do it, if not I would like the Honda logo.

I think I am going to skip on the seat heaters.
