Clutch34 02-17-2009, 10:46 PM Hey,
I'm thinking about getting 19's with new tires to replace my stock set. I started an earlier thread to see which tire size I should get and I learned that 245/35/19 is the best conversion.
Anyone have this size tire on their 8th gen coupe? Does it fit alright with no problems? (ie. no rubbing, etc.)
Thanks.
jpc17 02-17-2009, 11:50 PM The recommended size is actually 245/40/19 and you'l see lots of members here on DA running that size. The closest conversion would be what you said, 245/35/19 but you will be giving up ride quality with the smaller side wall. I suggest you to go for the 245/40/19 as it fills up the wheel well nicely and it works well with a drop too.
Clutch34 02-18-2009, 01:45 PM Cool, thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it.
Taffy 02-20-2009, 08:20 PM Like jpc17 said 245/40 R19 is recommended but the size is somewhat of a odd size to find. I run Falken's in the 245/ 40 and I like them. If you wanna refrence a pic with how they look I have one for ya :D

Clutch34 02-21-2009, 12:05 AM Nice! I like how it looks! Thanks for the pic Taffy!
Do the tires rub at all? Any trouble with the speedometer being off or anything else?

Nope no rubbing and these tires are about 1/4" shorter then stock so the speedo reads like 1-2 mph faster according to the charts i seen.
Clutch34 02-21-2009, 08:35 PM The Falken tires...do they last a while or does the tread run down quickly? If you haven't noticed, I'm new to the whole tire/wheel modding. lol Also, how much did the Falkens cost you?
Taffy 02-21-2009, 09:30 PM Not sure on how fast they wear down. I have winter wheels and tires on atm. These have about 1500 miles on them now and still look new but they should still look new..lol
They were $180 a piece from discounttiredirect.com
jpc17 02-21-2009, 10:04 PM Assuming you're talking about the Falken ZE-912, the warranty is as follows:
60/65 series: 65,000 Miles/106,650 KM
55 series and below: 40,000 Miles/64,400
Taffy 02-22-2009, 11:01 AM They are actually Falken FK-452. I found the website on them but no info about milage they get.

I heard about the same complaints before ordering and to be honest I have no idea what they are talking about because mine are not noisy.

Here's my '08 coupe with the 19" HFP wheels and Goodyear F-1 rubber. Pic below. These tires kick a$$ both in the rain and on dry pavement. (Not recommended for ice or snow!)
