Added amp to stock stereo with nav, added a jl 500/1 with a line converter. speakers hum like crazy when i start the car but only for about 5 seconds. Some sort of interference.?????If i play it with car off sounds great, then hmmmmm while starting then fine..

I installed it myself, but it is a very simple task, power wire, ground wire, reomte turn on, and input. I talked to the guy at stereo shop and he thinks converter might be bad i'll swap it out today.peace...

swaped out converter still did not work, stereo dude said I have to switch the 12volt remote turn on because the car is picking up interference, back through the fuse block....
