I've decided to take the plunge and spend the money to install the factory suspension (HFP kit). I drive around 2,000-3,000 miles per month, so I will post a very accurate review of the suspension. I can't wait!!! My local dealer matched an internet price of $670 for the kit, and is only charging $240for the install including a 4 wheel allignment. I'll provide feedback on the kit in a week or so....The car is an AT.

I'll be interested to know what you think of it. I bought my car with it already installed so I never knew what to compare it to.

X2 I got mine on my I4 ( Yes I have the 6 cyl HFP kit on an I4) LOL
for 650 wholesale, did the install myself which took about 2.5 hours in the driveway, so at current labor rates You got a good price across the board! Good Job! :)

How did you get the rear shock to clear the hub/lower mount when installing by yourself... I tried everything I could think of then I finally had the lil women come out and lean on a cheater bar to pry down the hub enough to clear the lower shock mount. Dismantling this set up again and going through this whole procedure is the only thing keeping me from adding a different spring rate and helper spring set up in the rear. I think I need more LBS back there

self threaded pry bar one end male the other female place the ends that slip into the pole on both sides 2 crescent wrenches, and twist counter each other ( reverse squeeze) Same idea as a hydro- push bar for a frame machine when you go to pull a frame.. home made but worked great!

very good, I can see that working perfectly. A reverse TurnBuckle

I need to pump up the spring rates, currently running 2.5" ID 500f/600r... I want to go with 2" ID springs at 650F and 800R

$910 installed is a good price, when you're getting a warrantied suspension kit, with new shocks designed for the new lowering springs, designed to last longer than 60k miles (how much you'd expect to run your stock shocks with aftermarket springs)

Granted it's not a coilover kit, but it's still a very nice kit that maintains a warranty and is a Honda Factory Part.

Installed WITH alignment is a good deal yes. Is the HFP worth 670 or not... that is a different question altogether

Go it installed, but had to wait 2 days to get it back as the dealer broke the right rear sway bar link (didn't have in stock). Right when I picked up the car on Friday, it started to snow!!!! Since then, I've put about 300 miles on and it kicks ass! The car rides just slightly stiffer than stock, but feels so much more composed. It does not dive under braking or accelerating, and corners totally flat. It has lost that slight nerviousness it had when transitioning from left to right at higher speeds. The car feels more confident and composed in all areas. Worth every penny, and since the car was a certified pre-owned, I get to keep all my extended warranty. I know there are cheaper kits, but if you can swing the extra money, I would recommend it. No new rattles or squeaks either. I"ll work on the after photos, but I don't have any before.

And of course they have to break the one thing they don't have left in stock. It can't be something they actually have on hand still.

--Mr.JamieJam, I also have I4---did your FRONTEND lower as needed?? Cause I'm guessing the 4cyl.motor is LIGHTER than the v6----So, your FRONT END lowered like if you had a v6 after you installed your HFP kit?
I'd really LOVE to know cause I really want the HFP strut package BUT hesitated cause I got the I4 & the 'kit' is for v6....???? so, LET US KNOW BRO, pleeeease-----did your frontend lower like ya wanted(like we all want)!!!!
Your the first person I've heard of who had the balls to put this HFP kit on an I4----CONGRATS!!!

PBGelber - I am curious how many miles were on your Accord before you went to HFP. The second question is would you sell me your factory set up? I have a 4cyl sedan and would like to see if the coupe v6 set up give me a better ride. There is only about 100lbs difference between our cars so I believe the better ride comes from the shock and spring rates. Thanks

The car had 11,000 miles when I bought it in Oct. I had about 20,000 when I put the HFP suspension on. I did keep my old suspension parts, in case when I sold the car, someone would want the softer suspension. Since it doesn't ride much stiffer than stock, I would sell the old suspension.
