I ran over a metal pipe on the highway at 50mph. The pipe was about 4 inches tall, it completely rippped the sidewall of my tire and bent the rim. It seems the rear wheel looks fine. I was wandering based on the picture, do you think i can just buy new tires and rebalanced the rim? i can live with a little vibration. Or do I need new rim? and lastly, do you think it may caused any damages to my suspension? any opinions appreciated.

thats not a bent rim, unless its is somewhere else. i would get a tire first and see how it rides and then go from there. looking at that it should affect anything

Looks more like a chipped wheel to me.

And the tire looks perfectly fine.

If no air leaks out, then you're okay.

Smooth off any sharp edges (slightly) before slapping on a new tire.

its not bent. maybe a little, but not to need a new tire, and it looks like a chip that many people have on their rims.
