Hey

I just wanted to see where the 7th gen owners installed the power cable for their amplifiers

I have read few threads (with different locations)

My 04 V6 Coupe doesnt seem to have this opening (for the harness):

I'm too lazy to go take a picture, look to the top left of your brake pedal, you'll see it

i forget the actual location but i was able to find an EMPTY grommet in the center of the firewall. look through the engine side and poke it through. i was able to get 2 4ga wires and 1 10ga wire in with no issues

Give me a minute and i'll take a picture and post where I fed mine. I've got the sedan so I'm not 100% sure that you'll have the same location.

This may or may not be the same place as others have used. I didnt really check on here for a location first, I just poked around. The way I approached it was to look on the inside of the car for an area that was easily accessible to through the firewall, rather than starting under the hood and trying to find a way in.

The first pic shows the location inside the car that I found easily accessible and passed through the firewall. The brake pedal is in there for reference. http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l117/lilmike2069/IMG_1669.jpg

What I did was take a long screwdriver and carefully insert it into the rubber grommet... then poke through. Once, the screwdriver had poked through, I checked under the hood and looked for the screwdriver to get an idea where it was going. I ended up have to poke through a few times in the same area to make the hole in the grommet big enough to push the 4AWG wire through. After making the hole, just push it through from the interior (trying to push through from under the hood was impossible because it comes out in an area that I couldnt get my hand in).

Here are a couple of pics from under the hood. The brake master cylinder and the strut/shock mount is in the pic for reference.

hey

my grommet was in a different location

from the interior I went up where all the wires were...the exit into the engine bay was below the braking fluid

Im 1/2 done with my install
