I’ve been lurking around for a long time, and I finally decided to join the community and get some insight from experienced accord owners. A big hey to everyone.

My first post is about wheels. My stock tires (Bridgestone Turanza EL41, pretty much gone at 54k miles. No complaints with them, if anyone is curious) need to be replaced, and I want to upgrade the stock 16in wheels to something a little bigger, and certainly wider than 205.

The wheel I’m looking at is the Privat Vulkan, 18x8, 5-114.3, with 45 offset. The new tires will be 235/40/18 Falken 912s.

Searching the forum indicates a 55 stock offset for my accord. I desperately need someone to confirm that (I’ve seen various numbers elsewhere), and tell me if my intended setup will work. I do plan to drop the car a modest amount in the coming months. Not slam. Maybe 1.5in in the front, 1 rear. Hence, I don’t want the wheels to stick out past the fender. You guys think I’ll be safe? And most importantly, tell me what you think of the wheels! I’m going for a relatively elegant, yet still sporty look. Not ricer or anything else. You think it’ll work? :dunno:

(If anyone else knows of similar looking wheels in the $200 price range, let me know :naughty:)

the wheels look nice and will fit perfectly along with the tire size. :)

Personally, I had Falkens on my 06 civic, good grip, but noisey!

I definitely appreciate that. I think the look is reminiscent of the HFP 19s, no? Without the expense....:grumpy:

Yeah. I read some about the noise, but I'll take grip over noise any day. It's not like my balding tires are quiet, so I'm used to it. I guess if I wanted peace and quiet, I would have gotten a Lincoln, eh? :naughty: How long did they last, btw? That's also another concern. Don't feel like new tires after 15k.

They look similar, i agree only difference is that the hfp 19's dont have the little curvature on the spokes. either way nice choice, enjoy!

I was thinking the curvature on the spokes wasn't such a bad touch. A little extra dimension, as long as it still manages to look classy. Am I wrong?

So whats the difference between the offsets.

17x7 45+ offset
17x7 55+ offset

What is correct for a 7th Gen Accord 4dr? Stock 55+
I see a lot of Civic wheels are 45+.

Those wheels look sick... Cant wait to see them on your ride. I was looking into Privat Netz or Motives. How much are you getting your wheels and tires for?

Offset calculator says your new combo would extend out and extra 29mm (little more than an inch) assuming your stock wheels are 16x6.5. That is assuming I am reading it right :D

I really want these wheels for my '07 sedan:

(OEM 8th gen V6 coupe 18"x8"wheels, 55 mm offset)

but I am looking at sticking out an extra 19mm as I also have 16x6.5 stock wheels. I do not want my wheels sticking out past my fender, for fear of curb rash and other reasons...

While I like some of the Privat wheels, not a fan of those, sorry dude ... to each his own I guess ...
