2007 - EXL - AT - V6

What is the best tire to buy for above spec ? Specifically, I am looking for the best tire for road comfort - something that will help supplement Accord's suspension ?

Thanks for input.

I used the Potenza's for awhile, they perform great, but get noisy quick.

I am currently using the General Altimax (HP i believe) and would buy again.

Perfect daily driver tire, excellent grip, and super quiet and comfortable. The only draw back is a slightly soft side-wall.

I just purchased the Goodyear Triple treads after my g/f got the same ones for her jeep.

I had the stock michelin's for about 45k miles.

The TT's are a much softer tire than the stock michelin. I only have about 3k on them but so far they are good and I would recommend if you want to soften up your ride without giving up to much.

I have a 05 V6 AT Coupe

Either Yokohama or Bridgestone. I had the Potenzas on the Ody and can't complain. And the Yokohamas back in PR on the civic and they were great.

That is like asking what the best wine is! It all depends on what you want and expect out of a tire. I suggest you read reviews on all the different tires at
http://www.tirerack.com/ and http://www.discounttiredirect.com/.

Bucho, did you notice any changes in road noise or any signs of vibration with the TTs?
I had put the TTs on mine just before the winter, and had to have them balanced, rebalanced and road-force balanced, but to no avail. Eventually one tire was replaced and it kinda made the ride smoother, but I could still feel the vibration and helicopter-like sound in the cabin, especially in the morning (flat-spotting?)
I live in Toronto and it hasn't warmed up here since I bought them, so I can't tell if this has anything to do with cold. But it does seem like the roar and vibration tend to subside after about 25 miles of driving. Then again, it seems to come and go as I drive, especially through a long highway curve.
The car itself is no suspect, as it felt perfectly smooth the day it still had the OEM tires on, and the vibration occurred right after the swap.
I am very frustrated with these and contemplating throwing them away and getting a set of General Altimax HP-s. Darn, they only have 8000 miles on them. :headbash:

The Bridgestone Turanza Serenity tire is noted for smooth, comfortable ride along with excellent traction and handling. Tire Rack did two tests comparing the Serenity with other leading grand touring tires.

Silver,

If you had a simple puncture you can probably get it repaired fairly cheaply at any tire center/service station. Obviously if you have some sort of hazard coverage with the installer or Honda you should take the tire there. Most places can do a simple patch job. I had a patch job done on my previous car and it ran for several thousand miles with no pressure loss.

Good luck!
