Hi all

I just purchased this car over the weekend and so far love the car. I have noticed that the automatic transmission when going between 30 and 40, I can feel it changing, there being a slight hesitation as if the power dips. I noticed that the revs go from 2000 to 3000 and then fall to around 1500 after that change.
Just wanting to know if this is norm or should I be concerned. I drove a Malibu before and never really noticed this before.

Should mention the car has 32,000 miles on it

Any thoughts appreciated.

Is there a difference in how much you feel it if you're driving mild vs. hard?

Perfect time to do a drain/fill with the atf.

I would say it was mild. I think I am just over sensitive to it. I should go and test drive another to compare :)

I wouldn't see the harm in changing the fluid to see if it made a difference.

Keep in mind the car learns the driver.... driving mild for a few days, then spirited will feel way different. Driving spirited for a few days, then mild will feel weird by comparison.:)

I didn't realize the car learned the way I drove. Maybe I should call my Honda, 'KITT' :) Hope you are young enough to get the joke.

I'm OLD enough to get the joke..... We watched the original version & now we're watching the new one. It's so hard to think of a FORD being a "hero"!
