I'd planned on her being in the front seat but she didn't quite fit. She went in thru the passenger door, over the center console, got stuck under the steering wheel, got out, got back in the passenger side and hopped into the back. I gave up and buckled her there.

All that, and not one single scratch or puncture in the leather. Her nails are pretty massive.

The backseat is the safest place for a dog. I would hate to see what would happen to a dog in the front seat if the airbag were to deploy.

I got my doggie blanket from Autoeverything for $60. It is not specifically made for Accord coupe but they fit like charm. The one I bought has those straps at the top for the headrest posts and the material is water proof (also comes in variety colors but no black so I had to get charcoal).

... be careful with the sides of the door tho my dog likes to claw the sides when she jumps in.Spot'on, bro'! :(

I let my dad take my S.U.V. a few weeks ago, he had offered to help take his friend's Labrador to the vet'. When I got it back, the rear-left door handle, padding, door-panel insert were obliterated. Literally like Freddie Kruger went 'ape on the door!

The waterproof blanket would be good. Yoshi has the biggest tongue I've ever seen and gets everything she comes in contact with wet.

With a quick google search I found it for $10 cheaper. Might want to search around a bit before buying. :)

I agree with stephaniediane, the leather is definitely higher quality than some people lead others to believe. It holds up to my duty belt during the 1/2 car ride to station (an hour from my full-time job). I have a single-size fitted sheet with an elastic band sown to a portion so I don't stain my leather while wearing it, but that's just a little bit extra protection. I'm still pissed about the staining though:tongue:

Nice Blanket. Never knew about these. I have always feared the dog would rip the leather.

Is that suede? The '08+ JDM Honda Inspire comes in an available microfiber-like interior w/ contrast-stitching, as well as other materials (ultra-suede/Alcantara inserts, leather, plush weave-fabric, etc'). . .

You're excused since you have a bigger dog too :) :D

I just personally don't see much purpose in such a small dog.....I do understand that some people don't have the room for a big dog though.

If I were to get a dog (I can't b/c I travel to much) I would want one I can go running with, play catch with, etc....if I throw a Frisbee at a small dog like that, I'm bound to knock it out. :D

Our leather isn't as cheap as you think
Well, vinyl is tougher than leather :D. And cheap leather is tougher to scratch than soft leather, so you inadvertently contradicted yourself :lmao:.

Try your 'experiment' on a car with Nappa leather, for instance, and you'd have scratches all over the place. And yes, I still like my Accord with cheap leather :naughty:. Take care gang.

I am sure it is not because of the fog on the Bayway and the stupid drivers that don't know to SLOW DOWN!! :lmao:

BTW, love the dog! I think he (?) thinks he is human. Which dealership did you buy from? I have a good friend at Treadwell. I have known him for about 3 or 4 years now. GREAT guy!!

I have been trying to buy a 2009 for a few months now, but I teach school and you know what's going on there! So, I don't want to make a big purchase and possibly get cut.

Back on topic, I have driven a V6 Sedan NAVI on several occassions (told you my salesman is wonderful) and the leather seems a little higher quality than my 2005. Maybe it's just me. :dunno:

I was really being a smart ass when I started the thread. :) This leather (pleather?) feels alot different from my 2001. Even the color is a little different. If cheap = no dog punctures, I'll take it.

As for Yoshi, she IS cute, isn't she?? :) I'm a proud parent. When we see little dogs (rats?) like that we call them SNACKS.

I bought mine from Treadwell from Terry Cleveland (I think). He was super nice. Didn't hassle me or try to sell me anything. He had the best price from MS to FL. Unfortunately the dealership is kinda far from here so I use Tameron.
