Has anyone seen this in person or have on their car? I stumbled across this on web but it said out of stock. I've sent an email to the distributor to see if they can get some more. I'd rather get this than do the knob and boot conversion with TSX or TL knob.

Those side mirrors are expensive. For that money, I would rather get HFP suspension for functional upgrade.

Same shape leather stitched material...But yes $200 is way too much. For 100 I would buy it.

I wonder how much it would cost in Syria.

My Syrian friend tono , I have a business proposition for you

Months ago, Ice (http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/member.php?u=7355) coordinated an online parts vendor (Edo Performance (http://shop.edoperformance.com/honda-accord-2008-inspire-rear-trunk-lid-and-tail-light-set-p-12470.html)) to offer the JDM Inspire rear-fascia conversion for the 8th gen' USDM Accord sedan. I'd think if they were contacted, they'd be able to offer the JDM Inspire leather-stitched A.T. shift-knob.

I believe another fellow who used to sell the JDM Inspire rear-fascia conversion on ebay offered these leather-stitched Inspire shift-knobs for ~$150'ish. I acquired the Inspire rear from him & had few online convo's w/ him (his English is very-very limited). He's located in Tokyo & exports JDM OEM Honda parts worldwide, and one of his business associates/'partners' is in Cali' who is fluent in English.

At the mo', the Yen is very high relative to the dollar, therefore greatly affecting the price of anything purchased/exported from Japan to the 'states. My friend had been working on very advanced & sophisticated high-performance exhaust system for another Honda/Acura application for over a year (he's in Cali', but his fabrication/manufacturing is in Japan), now due to the Yen-U.S.'dollar currency roller-coaster, he can't market those exhaust systems w/o a ~40%+ surcharge relative to the original price he stated in the past. . .

I'm gonna see what bruceleroy (http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/member.php?u=7774) plans to do w/ his plastic/rubber covered OEM shift-knob, now that he has acquired the TL leather-stiched A.T. version. If he'll part w/ it, I'll purchase it from him (instead of getting a brand-new one from a Honda parts vendor) & see in-person for how much the local custom-interior/trim shops here will re-cover it in leather/stitching. I'll obviously inquire about a group-rate (for 10/20/30+/etc'...). I believe once they get one done to their liking, they'll have a template & it'll be merely cookie-cutter fabrication from thereon for them (keeping things basic: black-leather w/ black stitching, no customization). Business is lacking these days, I'm sure they'll welcome the opportunity.

I received an email back from the vendor and the knob costs $236 with s/h. Too much for me to swallow. I'll try local upholstery shop and see how much they'll charge to cover it with leather. I can take the Inspyre photo to show them how it should be done. I can't imagine more than $50 bucks. Anyone know how much is the OEM knob?

Considering that Ive already scratched the cheap rubber shifter, Im definitely getting one of these, the cheaper the better.

:lmao: Oh god, not only it looks cheap, it really is...Indeed. Means I need to get one & get it re-covered, ASAP! :D

(the JDM Inspire leather-stitched A.T. shift-knob seem quite pricey as of late due to the currency exchange rate, even more expensive than usual)

damn i never knew JDM Inspire part are soo expensive! NVMQFT! :(

$19.01 from College Hills, part #24Thanks for the affirmation that this part is relatively inexpensive. Now all I gotta do is figure out how to remove it w/o damaging the seemingly delicate/fragile plastic insert-piece(s)!

I can't help but notice in the Inspire picture that the shift knob looks teriffic, but it still sits next to that hideous rubbery vinyl boot on the parking brake lever.
If I were to go to an upholstery shop to ask about the shift knob, I would ask about the parking brake lever as well.

CHH had some import accessories for the Fit in a video podcast (EDIT:Podcast Episode #148 - 2009 Honda Fit Import Parts (http://www.collegehillshonda.com/artman2/publish/Fit_48/Podcast_Episode_148_-_2009_Honda_Fit_Import_Parts.shtml) @1:22). One of them was something like a sleeve that was covering the handle of the brake lever. I have asked them if it would fit the Accord parking brake lever. I am waiting for a reply, perhaps in their next customer questions podcast. The color though is not black and perhaps it would not match the rest of the interior very well...

That's why I had a disclaimer in my first post : The color though is not black and perhaps it would not match the rest of the interior very well...

Regardless the color, I don't see any other way to add some leather on the rubber hand brake lever but this sort of sleeve type. Right now, it's this or some sheepskin condom
