My 09 EXL is 3 weeks old and already both yellow lights in the front are out when the running day lights are on. When I put on the nighttime headlights, the yellow lights go on.. WTF? Anyone know what this is, or have this problem also?

Not sure what you are referring to as "yellow lights" but I'm assuming the daytime running lights.

If these are not turning on, first make sure that your parking brake is not engaged, as releasing this brake is what turns them on.

If your lowbeams are turned on, these will turn off.

If these lights are not on while your emergency brake is down and your headlights are not on, check the fuse.

At night, only the lowbeams, or projectors should be lit. The larger reflector bowl in your headlights will only be lit if you are using your highbeams or daytime running lights (same bulb). The daytime running lights will not be on at the same time as your lowbeams.

The front right side, yellow light, (blinker), and the one above the big round headlight (also a yellow light) are off .. ONLY when the running days are on.. If I put on the nightlights, they work.. go figure!

Your park lights (blinker and side marker) should be off when your daytime running lights are on. They turn on when the lowbeams are on. You have no problem.

Well then the problem that I have is they light up on my left side, while the running day lights are on.. only on the left side.

Ohh..if that is the case I'm sorry but I can't help. That is very strange, especially since those lights shouldn't be on with your daytime running lights at all-unless you turned the park lights on and one of them happens to be burnt out... Just make sure that the headlight switch on your stalk is all the way in the "off" position.

yep the yellow blinker light and the one on top on the right side is out.. only in day time mode lights. .I guess I have to bring it in.. maybe its a short, since it does light up when the nighlights are on?

Take a pic of the entire front end of the car with the lights off and another with the lights on so we can see what you're talking about.
