Hi. I have an 05 LX Accord with the single cd player and I was wondering if there is a way to connect a RCA/mini-plug signal to the aux input of the factory cd player. I have seen several solutions designed for the cd-changer, and as I dont have this, and dont want to pay $99 for a RCA input, I dont want to use these. Is there a simple way to connect an RCA input, or do I need a device that has a microprocessor in it (I hope not).
Thanks.

You can go one of two ways. One is the FM. Get an FM transmitter and tune to to.
For RCA, yes, you need a SoundGate. I have to say though, best $100 I've spent.

Apart from the CD-C interface, pretty much your only other option is FM.
I'd opt for a wired FM modulator, not a wireless one. The wired ones don't send the signal through the air and have the least chance of signal degradation.

My only option is a soundgate, even though I dont have a cd changer? I don't like fm modulators (of any variant), so thats out. I really dont want to spend $100 to get a rca input.

I don't have time to research it right now, but I have seen aux options for less than $100. I think there was one for my Ody that was in the $65 range. It really depends on how important sound is to you. I could use a wired FM for my wife and she would say it sounds great and I would cringe. If it works for you, saves you a few bucks!

$100 is about the price you'll pay. You may be able to get it for less but I doubt that it will be much less than that.
There are aux adapters available from soundgate, PIE and Blitzafe, I think.

EXLNavi is right. I could not find one for less than $100. The brands listed are the main three. I found one for my wife's Ody a couple of days back and I have the terrible habit of not bookmarking because I think I can always find it again!

Hi all just found this site. Don't mean to hijack this thread but, I have almost the same question. My 2005 is a Silver Anniversary Edition with the Alpine XM unit dealer installed. I've dug around and find that there a RCA inputs on the unit behind the glove box. Also in the setup looks like you can turn the Aux input on. I've down that but still can't figure out how to get the MP3 sound to come though the system. Is there a real manual for the Alpine unit some where. I can't seem to find it. Thanks looks like a great site.
