May I ask you what problems are you having??? You have the 6-6 correct?

I have a non-flattering 'vrooom-vrooom-vroom' sound when hot coming from that area that only somebody else reported (a 6-6 as well). Thought was coming from the PSP, but I don't believe it is. Just curious what your issue is. Good day.

Hey.. I IM'ed you back. mine PS area sounds like a bearing is going bad. definitely not the ticking issues from the cam caps that some have. it may be something as simple as the belt being noisy. I know the odysseys are having issues with the PS pump in some instances

Mine is like belt sound as well, but I'm more inclined to think it's from the cam belts. What throws me off is it's rhythmic nature: goes up and down in volume as the car idles when fully hot, while idle is steady. As soon as you rev up the engine a little the noise is either gone or can't be heard anymore (probably the latter).

What's the nature of your noise? And when does it happen? Is it like a screeching noise, associated with failing bearings? Does it happen hot or cold, or louder when hot or cold? Curious about your answer so I can compare it to mine, and keep it in mind as a potential problem. As a comment, my CRV's PS pump seems identical to mine, and apparently to the Odyssey as well. Seems puny, but both cars have approx the same weight, and we haven't had any problems with the CRV. As a matter of fact, I want to start doing a fluid swap to have semi-fresh oil in there, just like with the tranny. Take care.
