I live in Las Vegas. Since they've replaced the rear struts and put 4 new tires, now I got vibration every morning. Once the engine is warming up, the vibration is completely gone. Any idea what it was???? I don't think it was the engine mount. Maybe tires are out of balance???

If it's only vibrating when you're moving after the car sits for about 8 hours or so, the new tires you got may be flat spotting. It is normal for some tires to do this.
It usually takes 1 to 3 miles to get them to "round" back out.

This is not at all normal. Tires do not flat spot in such a short period of time. Today’s tires take weeks, even months to flat spot. And in a location such as Vegas, this will never be a daily problem.

I wont even try to guess what the issue could be, but i will say pay close attention to the speed you notice the vibe, and where/how you feel it.

Biggest thing is, can it reproduced every morning, without fail??? If it is, take it back ASAP.

False - you might have missed the problems the Acura TL's had with the EL42's flatspotting...

Which was not at all normal, so I'm missing your point other than to be a wise guy.

My stock Michelins would flat spot every day when I got to work and I had to deal with the vibration for the first 1.5 miles on my way home. I'm glad they're gone. The General Exlaim UHPs, I put on after the Michelins, don't exhibit this phenomenon.

My current winter (dunlop winter sport M3) set will flat spot when I get to work, esp if the temps are over 50. They feel completely square for the first mile or so on my way home.

When I'd leave for work in the morning, my first 2 miles or so are much slower, max of 40 till I make it to the highway, and they have time to round themselves before I get up to 80 or so.

Back in the day, under a tight budget and single car, I used to drive with BFG Comp T/A's on all four wheels all summer long. The compound was basically medium compound race rubber with rain grooves. They never flat spotted, regardless of temp. Only when I ground a flat spot in when I locked up the brakes in a race, did I get a vibe from a flat spot.

Also consider similar (often far more advanced) rubber technology being used on motorcycles. Flat spots are not an option, at any time.

Back to cars. I've been thru my share of tires and compound types, and If I ever encounter a tire that "flat spots" consistently while parked overnight, they will be shipped back to the manufacture. This is not a condition worth tolerating today.

That's one reason why I don't have Michelin MXM tires on the car, they all seem to do this and aren't worth the price for the lack of performance.

My Lightning's Goodyears do this after it sits about a week in the garage. I'm putting the Nittos on it when I can afford to. Damn 1 size only for this truck....

Okay here it is what happened:

I took my car to the mechanic and have them looked at it. They said the spark plugs need to be replaced because it is misfiring..I told them that according to honda manufacture, spark plugs are not supposed to be replaced until after 100,000k. He laughed and said whenever there is a problem with spark plugs regardless of mileages, it needs to be replaced......

How many miles do you have on the car?
Sounds like BS to me :deal:
