View Full Version : Replacing Washer Reservoir

The other day during an oil change, the service guy noticed that my washer reservoir had an oily substance and what appeared to be antifreeze mixed in with the washer solution. (He didn't do it, I was watching), but he suggested I replace the washer reservoir since it had been in there quite a while. I picked up a new reservoir and they offered to install it when I get some other work done, but I'm thinking I'll just do it myself (since the part may not get here in time for the other repairs).

Anyone know how hard this is to do or have readily available instructions on how to do it?

I appreciate any help!

shouldnt be more than a few bolts. looks like it could be tricky because its mostly hidden meaning you might need to remove the tire or bumper to access it

The easiest thing to do would be to remove the front bumper. Takes about 5 minutes to get it off. The hardest screws to get to are where the bumper meets the fender just inside the fender well. You can use a real short screw driver or turn the wheels to the left and remove the right side, and then turn the wheels to the right and remove the left side.
