All these horn threads have got me thinking.
What sound would you like your Accord's horn to make? I've always like the "beep, beep" from the old Roadrunners - neat stuff. 'Course, that probably fits the old Mopar better than an Accord.
One of my buddies from high school had a 69 Camaro with an air horn. Loud! And funny to 16 year old kids.

I'd like a BIG sound, like a semi truck.
We do giggle about the fact that the '03 Pilot has a higher "voice" than the '03 Accord! The truck sounds more like a car & the car sounds more like a truck!
REAL "voting" polls are more fun than thread opinion ones.....

No more "meep meep" from my Civic! Woo-Hoo!
There was this one time when I had a car full of friends and a Corolla cut me off, So I slam on the brakes and honked my horn at him.. The horn was so quiet that all my friend's thought that it was coming from the Corolla!
The stock Accord horn is much more significant! It sounds with authority, but still retains some Japanese horn characteristics.

I voted "other."
I would like my horn to fire off a variety of obscenities when pressed. That way, I wouldn't have to yell them myself.

Yeah, I think I'll change my "other" to something like a really loud "COULD YOU BE MORE STUPID?"
unfortunately, I fear the answer would be yes!
and they'd show me.

It's all about the General Lee man!!
If not, I'd prefer something closer to an air horn like on a big rig, and make it about 10 decibels louder to, so I can really scare some dumb kid shitless.

speaking of airhorns, i was at In n Out the other night, getting out of my car, and some guy in a raised Ford F-250 or F-350 (who was parked across two spaces  ) locked his doors and it sounded like a semi.

Aren't there laws that predetermine how loud a horn can be (just like how dark tint, how low for lowering, etc...)? I'd hate to be the unsuspecting service station attendant who tests out the horn when you're getting the inspection sticker! :lmao:

The horns are fine. I just sold my Integra GSR and the horns sound so whimpy I was embarrased to use them. Added air horns and they worked great. I use to do dealer work and one guy who bought an Isuzu Rodeo wanted me to install truck air horns. After I got done and tested it, it sounded out of place. Plus, the vehicles around you are looking for a truck to get out of the way but all they see is a Rodeo! Kinda funny.
