without spacers? i know the bolt pattern is right but didn't know why i'm reading that they don't clear the brakes, its not like the brakes are big by any means.

I have 18" HFP's off a 06 Honda Civic Si =)

Issue with the Civic SI wheels is a lower offset than stock - meaning the wheels will stick out a bit further than the OEM ones did. Could be an issue with steering "feel" and tire wear over the long haul - but other than that they should work.

Too much tire. I went 235/40 18 on mine. All that tire says "4wd".

Yeah, that .46" of sidewall screams 4wd...:rolleyes:

You are talking the difference between 3.7" of sidewall vs. 4.16" of sidewall being the difference between sporty and off-road? The 235/40/18 is closer to the OEM diameter though, so I would choose it for that reason. BTW, my OEM tires on the 17" wheels have a sidewall of 4.23" which apparently only belong on a truck...
