View Full Version : Teaser pics of color matched Axis Elite Wheels
ace20ri 03-25-2009, 09:44 PM Just wanted to post a pic of the wheels that are going on my PMM Friday! They are color matched (wet, not powdercoated). 20x9 on the fronts and 20x10 in the rears! I know, I know...front wheel drive, staggered wheels! To each is own or something like that! LOL!
goldy500 03-25-2009, 09:52 PM who cares those are some sexy wheels

bruceleroy 03-26-2009, 02:25 AM wheels looks good i just dont like the center cap wish it wasnt that shiney and the same color as the wheel
08coupex 03-26-2009, 06:55 AM Those look great.
v-6 nolo 03-26-2009, 08:43 AM damn man, get r done!
I wanna see how these fit, since Axis has a few wheels i love...
ace20ri 03-26-2009, 01:11 PM bruceleroy, I debated that same thought because it would have definitely made the wheels even more stealthy. But in the end I liked the contrast.
Passat774 03-26-2009, 07:03 PM They are going to look great. The chrome caps may help really make the wheels stand out!
Super6 03-26-2009, 09:21 PM you are a baller.....cant wait to see pics....
08coupex 03-27-2009, 12:54 PM Any pics yet?

ucsdlcfu 03-27-2009, 09:13 PM those are hot! nice job.
woody4364 03-27-2009, 09:16 PM Nice! You need to drop it next...
argus 03-27-2009, 10:59 PM Looks amazing!! The wheels suit her very well. Now you know you got to drop her to get the full effect in, don't ya?!
morcheez 03-27-2009, 11:21 PM 4x4 mode haha..been there man ...looks good ...put some tire shine on those tires they look dry as the desert
ace20ri 03-28-2009, 01:03 AM Thanks for the responses! Yea, the next step is to drop her and stealth out the rear tails. She'll get a bath very soon morcheez!
ufmike316 03-28-2009, 05:42 AM those wheels look hot. hold off on dropping it until a rear camber kit is released though (hopefully soon) or youll burn through your tires too fast (since theyre staggered and you cant rotate them front to back).
v-6 nolo 03-28-2009, 06:12 AM Any issues with going 20 X 10?
[junsei]Gen8 03-28-2009, 08:02 AM really niice bro...the color match came out great! Are you going to drop it at all,cuz those wheels r begg'n for it:yes:
mystick6 03-28-2009, 10:06 AM Do you have any issuses with rubbing in front or back?
waffiel24 03-28-2009, 02:47 PM :jawdrop:
I think those are some of the best rims I have seen on a pmm. Now you just need to change you avatar.
ace20ri 03-29-2009, 12:23 AM I'm extremely happy with them! No rubbing issues. They fit great, with actually a little room to spare. Avatar has been updated waffiel24!
More than a drop your car needs bigger brakes...
I mean, the wheels are terrific, but one sight of those tiny discs just makes one go ugh...they're like little coasters...
Invest in some Brembo's before a drop kit...
GuidoCoupeV6 03-29-2009, 06:37 AM 4x4 mode haha..been there man ...looks good ...put some tire shine on those tires they look dry as the desert
Yeah I agree, get some shine going on there ... and def need the drop .... but otherwise they match great with the car ...
It's rare to see some nice wheels on the accords these days (no offense to any reading this) but its true so nice job on picking a wheel that goes with the car ...
andysinnh 03-29-2009, 06:46 AM I'm usually not into many of the aftermarket wheels folks put on their Coupes, but these wheels are among the first I've seen that I personally like - the whole stance and color match really fit the vehicle really well. And while I'm on record in this forum about thinking that drops aren't really that great, just a "small" drop would really finish the overall look. Very nice.
In terms of the brakes, if you're really going to keep the look forever, then that'd be fine - but if you ever want to put the OEM wheels back on when trading, etc, you might be in for some issues with wheel clearance. For me, I'd just leave what you have - plus it won't be cheap to do THAT level of upgrade...

I'm surprised how well 20" wheels look on our cars. Normally I think they look obnoxious, but the accords seem to look great with them. But yeah, you need a drop and it will look sweet. :naughty:
ace20ri 03-30-2009, 12:19 AM Even though I'm out in Vegas, I may end up back east within a couple years so I plan to keep my OEM wheels and tires for those snowy days. Even though we had some of those days here this winter!:screwy:
I plan to install slotted rotors and then a possible color match on the calipers. The shop I go to wants to paint the calipers red and remove the OEM decals and replace them with the red H's to mix it up, but I'm not sure about that.
The shop is taking pics for their website tomorrow, so she is all juiced up and not looking so dry anymore in this desert:biggrin:, so I'll post some updates when I get them.
Thanks again for the feedback!:D

Wow, lots of upgrades in the pipeline! Waiting for more pics, bro!
08coupex 03-30-2009, 07:00 AM Looks great.
vadimk 04-09-2009, 09:47 PM what offset?
D-Press 04-10-2009, 03:46 PM Did you weight thoses wheels before tires?
tnel2005 04-10-2009, 03:49 PM ahhhhhhh drop it quick !
rikrock 04-10-2009, 10:20 PM That looks really good, nice match on the PMM. Just a quick drop and you'll have the baddest coupe in sin city.
ace20ri 04-14-2009, 09:23 PM Sorry, I have been offline for a bit. The front offset is 45 and the rears are 50. I did not weigh the wheels before the tires were put on (I think that is what you meant).
I know, I know...the drop is coming!
EliteXen 04-15-2009, 08:14 PM I'm thinking about putting the same wheels on my PMM coupe except I don't want to paint mine, I think I like the original color. I definitely won't be dropping mine though I may paint he calipers black.
ace20ri 04-16-2009, 10:16 PM EliteXen, are you talking about the matte black center with machined accents? I bought the black series.
Kiribati 04-16-2009, 11:36 PM I'm thinking about putting the same wheels on my PMM coupe except I don't want to paint mine, I think I like the original color. I definitely won't be dropping mine though I may paint he calipers black. And mine on a TW.
They are real nice, I fell in love with them when I saw them on this coupe-

starbai 04-28-2009, 07:23 AM looks excellent! but man is it begging to be dropped now
denttarek 04-28-2009, 11:20 AM a chop i did for the BBP not the best i am a newbie at phototshop but it serves the purpose, I AM IN LOVE
starbai 04-28-2009, 12:35 PM dayamn that IS sick.
(black is still better though :) )
denttarek 04-28-2009, 02:19 PM i think the BBp looks more ALIVE ....i don't know well i have a BBP and i think these are a good choice they go well with the black trims and the front mesh ,they kindof balance the car ...
now if i were to go twenties ,here are my questions
should i go staggered or not really?what are the benefits and downsides
are they pretty much plug and play !?! or some kind of modifications will be needed?
would it affect my alignment...camber and all?
how much do they weigh i am guessing 30-35 lbs each ..is that too much?
can i use my caps from the OEM wheels to keep the honda emblem ?
if i get an all season tires ,,do you guys think it is a good idea to keep them on all years and get rid of the OEM wheels all together
how would it affect the ride??
Thank you in advance
denttarek 04-28-2009, 02:36 PM Matching wheels...!!
