Hey, has anyone found a break kit with drilled and slotted rotars? something similar to the big break kit from brembo, but not as expensive?

I wouldn't suggest you break anything. You might want to take a break from any breaking that you may do. Maybe have some breakfast or break in a new car.

Now, I personally have not looked at a big brake upgrade for the Accord nor do I really intend to. I came from a Tahoe that had smaller brakes than the Accord so just buying the car was a brake upgrade for me.

Why on earth would you want to buy a kit that breaks your car?

I bought a big break kit upgrade from Brembo couple months ago. I woke up in the morning and my car was a mangled mess. Those a-holes at Brembo will have a chat with my lawyer.

OP,

If you hadn't figured out by now, it's "brake", not "break" that helps you stop the car.

With that little detail out of the way, why do you need the Big Brake kit? Normal day-to-day driving will not require Big Brake kit or cross-drilled/slotted brake rotors, they are mostly just cosmetic for street driven Accords.

Put some better tires on the car and it will stop quicker and in shorter distances, otherwise all it means is that your ABS will kick in sooner with better brakes components and releases the brake pressure, so you haven't gained too much of anything.......

Better tires may not look as cool as cross-drilled/slotted rotors, but do you want looks or function? (hopefully you pick the right answer)

haha yea, my mistake. i was typing the thread quickly and didn't read it back over. but thank you for the funny comments, it gave me a good laugh :lmao: oops... but yea I'm looking brakes that can perform well. i may be getting into track racing with my friends at some point, so if i needed to upgrade i was seeing if anyone here had any knowledge of where to find a good kit.

I saw some Cross Drilled and Slotted Front Rotors for an accord on eBay a few weeks ago. I can't seem to find them right now but you can keep checking, they looked pretty nice also well made from the pictures. They had a few different colors to choose from red blue and silver!

Brembo only offers a front brake kit for the Accord...

I was wondering if there's anything by Mugen...which would be much more compatible with Honda...

Get some good pads. Hawk makes pads for the front and is supposed to have some for the rear out in the next few months. Properly broken in good pads will make a world of difference.

Stoptech makes slotted rotors and drilled rotors for the front and rear for the I4 and V6 (automatic) coupe. They only have rear rotors for the I4 sedan. For the V6 6 speed coupe they make kits with 328mm rotors front and rear, with 4 piston front calipers and 2 piston rear calipers.

Got a pitch in here as I have just ordered Stoptech front rotors and will have them put on shortly, however, I've been on the phone directly with Stoptech and they do not have a rear kit. Their website is not acurate which was a big dissappointment for me cause I wanted matching front and rear. I can confirm that none of the main BBK manufacturers are making the rear setup for our car due to cost. Our emergency brake setup apparently is funky. However, i am getting the rotors custom made from Stoptech to match my fronts for an OEM fitment in the rear and new pads (Hawk does not make a rear pad set for us unfortunately so I'm going with Axxis in the rear and Hawk up fronton the BBK).

Sorry for the misinformation, I just pulled it from their website. I'm tired of manufacturer's websites being wrong. All those camber kits everyone was trying to get, the HON1 iPod adapter from PAC I couldn't get to work, and now Stoptech. Update your damn websites!

Psh, who needs parking brakes. It'd be easy to come up with Wilwood-based front and rears for people who didn't care about parking brakes (mostly auto trannies in non-hilly cities ).
