You should have gotten the code from the dealer when you got the car. Its a 5 digit code. I know my dealer actually put a sticky inside my glove box with the code so maybe you could look there and see if yours did that.

If that doesn't work I think you can get it from Owner Link with your vin#. You can always call or stop by your dealer and they can get it for you.

I am by no means an engine expert but I am pretty sure you need a special machine. I know autozone will look at it and reset it for free, while other places might charge you. But since you are going to the dealer tomorrow just have them take a look.

You need to remove that POS of an intake, or you'd eventually screw your engine (burn a valve -too lean) or converter (too rich) up and not be covered under warranty. You can reset the CEL all you want but it'd be right back on since your engine is running either too rich or too lean (probably the latter).

Sorry Goldy. Throwing a code means that your CEL comes on for a some reason. We here at DA.net suspect that your code will say that you are running too lean or too rich. Either one isn't great for your car. I can't properly explain why, but I'm sure someone here will let you know what running rich and running lean means. Well, just too throw it in there, running rich is having excess fuel in the fuel/air mixture and running lean is the opposite, having more air than fuel in the mixture. I think that running lean is worse, but I don't know why.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, but let me just say that if you can't fix it with the next 2 weeks, if i were in your shoes, id remove the intake, even if it does sound absolutely awesome.

What you should consider is getting a Y pipe with a valve in it for your exhaust right after the 1st and 2nd cat converters (at the engine). What the valve does is it can route the exhaust on a short path which ends right after the CATs and make your car SUPER angry sounding or it can close up the short path and run the exhaust through the system and make it sound normal.

ok i get what you mean now haha

im going to see if i need to clean the MAF first and see what else might be the problem

cause my friend at school has a V6 coupe with the AEM intake and hes had no problems

but just my luck hahaha

it could be for various reasons, he could simply just have a loose connection or forgot a step.

trust me, stupid mistakes are alot better than running lean or rich.
