Hi to everybody. I have a big issue that I'm trying to fix with absolutely no luck at all so far. The door latch in my sister's accord broke and now of course she can't open her door. Not a big deal if it was one of the passengers door but a little bigger one since it's the driver door that does not open anymore.
I was able to partially remove the door panel (even if it is virtually impossible to remove it totally due to one of the screws covered by the dash) and now I can see the latch but there's not enough room to do anything. The only way to get the door open seems to literally break the latch from the inside but there's not enough room to do that either.
Did anybody have the same problem and found an easy way to fix it?
Thanks to whomever will be able to give me a hand..:notworthy

Do a quick google search for Honda door latch. There's a way to drill the door to get to the part that brakes so you can open the door to replace the latch.

The drilling spot is the same place even when the door is closed.

There are some other solutions on the net, some really aren't pretty.

FredSVT and All:

I LOVE the Gen Four Accords (1990-1993). Bigger, sexier, and more powerful, just to name a few reasons. I would KILL...to have a mint-condition 1993 Coupe "EX."

(Editor's Note: Gee, just what I need. THREE (3) Accords to maintain/provide for! :lmao: )

However, due to the "rounded," complex design of the door panels, they are a real ORDEAL, respective to servicing latches, window servos, and so forth.

Having seen one taken apart, I recall some drilling is necessary, to get inside. While NOT very nice, sometimes/eventually necessary.
