Does anyone have any thoughts regarding the
two-way vents under the front seats in the
EX Accord. They work when you are in a mode
that blows air to the lower areas. They
have a two way configuration. They seem to aid
in keeping seats cooler and blow air to back
seat area. My salesman did not even know they were
there. Honda could have put in perferated seats
and ventalated them for a small cost! If you
have never seen them put air in mode for lower circulation and check them out! Someone with
ingenuity could perhaps add a vent to seats some
how. None of the literature mentions them.

I was browsing through my owners manual last night. There is a picture of the underseat vents in the a/c section where it talks about usning the dual climate control. I didn't even know they were there until I saw the picture.

They have always been there, even on my '87 Accord DX

I thought they all had 'em.... the picture on the climate area has laways had a a seat with arrows above & below, right? The lower vents blow on your legs.

Or is there something else that JUST goes under the seat to pass air to the back?

There are additional vents under the front seats that blow air to the feet of the rear sear passengers in the sedan models. As far as I can remember, those vents have always been there on the sedans, but not the coupes.

Mr Honda, good idea on the air conditioned seats, but I don't see how that can go smoothly without some means of blocking the air going to the rear vents or being able to change the temperature and airspeed separately from the front vents.
